How did they end up naming the award for Shaun Alexander? He was a hell of a player, but he had 6 TDs and fewer than 700 yards from scrimmage as a freshman…

He set the all time Alabama single game rushing record (291 yds) as a freshman against LSU.  He didn’t become the primary RB until November of that season

NIL is great but players that want to play in the NFL will want to play for Sark.

And those are all of the 4 and 5 star guys you want.

Sark is a better roster builder than Mack. Mack’s bottom half of classes often had a lot of bread.  The result of him being a pussy when it came to competing for recruits who wanted to commit late in the cycle or on signing day.  So he’d grab some suburban maxed out white kid who’d commit early instead.  We had a whole OL full of them in 2009.  There were exceptions.  Years like 2005 where he damn near hit on every player.  But even 2002’s #1 class had some unexplainable bread.  It drove me nuts when Mack would brag about only making 28 offers and getting 25 commits.  Means you weren’t fighting enough for contested elite recruits.

Sark will battle it out.  The top half of Mack and Sark classes were both excellent. The bottom half of Sark’s have been much better.

Got to remember he’s still a kid. But Jesus Christ buddy. Lose your damn phone until you’re out of the building.

yeah, like we bitch about how the team comes out in the 3rd quarter, but to be serious, what exactly is going on at halftime if folks have time to be posting IG stories from their phones?

Seriously. Seems like a good kid but could use a lesson in phone usage. He's already had several cringy social media moments this year (middle fingers, commenting on his own highlights as if he were on a burner, now this)
