My thoughts on the debate:

1. Kamala was way better than I thought she would be. I think the debate DEFINITELY got the Democrats fired up.

2. Trump had his Trump moments, but I thought he didn't look as good/polished as Kamala. Seemed more unprepared. Kamala let him ramble and I think it backfired.

3. It was very apparent that ABC was hitting Trump harder with follow-up questions/questioning his comments etc. Kamala said several things that they could have hit back on but they didn't. (Project 2025, Charlottesville; etc)

4. There is NO WAY undecided voters watch these debates and then make up their minds. Right?! These are just primetime shows done for entertainment value IMO. Our country is so divided I think 95% of people have made up their mind already.

Uh, what exactly are the followups that moderators should have HAD for Charlottesville or Project 2025? Were they supposed to ask her exactly what Trump said abou Charlottesvile, or ask her what is in the document Trump's Campaign has adopted for formal campaign positions, that was written by his former staff?

Should the moderators have asked Kamala follow up questions on why Trump cheats at golf too? I mean, I wish they had, but I think you get the point.

They absolutely could’ve and should’ve checked her on the Charlottesville comment, but it’s been part of the democrat greatest hits list for goin on a decade now. And trump hasn’t exactly helped himself by generally being a piece of shit and crowing racist bs. If you can excuse the twitter acct and sit through the video, here it is making clarifying point he is not referring to the neo nazis/kkk’rs that were there

That Trump has anything to do with it.

Here's the quote I found:

Quote

“What you're going to hear tonight is a detailed and dangerous plan called Project 2025 that the former president intends on implementing if he were elected to again.”

You're not saying that this is a lie because Donald denies it, are you?

You can't possibly be that fucking stupid can you?

But in April 2022, Trump shared a 45-minute private flight with Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, according to people familiar with the trip, plane-tracking data and a photograph from on board the plane, which has not been previously reported. They flew together to a Heritage conference where Trump delivered a keynote address that gestured to Heritage’s forthcoming policy proposals.

They’re going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do,” Trump said in the speech.

hell, even snopes rates it false

Yeah, I read that whole article.  His quotes do not back up the "false" claim, unless you are unable to think critically.

That's just letting Trump get away with his game. The fine people he was talking about were white supremacists simply as a matter of fact. While he didn't expressly say that white supremacists were fine people, that's exactly what he met and what was understood by those very groups.

I get it, but there’s a mountain of shit where there’s zero ambiguity to tie him to unlike this one.

Again, why should ABC have pushed back on her comment? She was absolutely correct. I don't care that someone can make up bullshit to excuse Trump. There is zero reason not to attack Trump for the horrible things he does and says. The fact that someone can make up bullshit to defend it is irrelevant.

Trump absolutely called them very fine people. People continue to pretend that he was somehow taken out of context. He wasn’t. Read the full quote, or watch it, and it’s 100% clear what he’s saying.

I don’t need snopes to interpret English for me.

He is just so presidential.

BTW, fuck dem geese. They are assholes.

My favorite thing is when Trump says something so batshit insane that any normal person would be immediately fired from their job and escorted out of the building, and MAGA heads and Both Sides people some how twist it into a perfectly normal thing and somehow Democrats and the MSM are totally at fault.

Just try talking up some white supremacy at the mandatory office lunch and see how long before Clarence from security walks into the conference room with an empty box.

CNN.com had a tally of 33+ lies/mistruths for Trump and 1+ for Kamala. I think ABC moderators fact-checked him in real time three fucking times. Three.

This is why he only wants Fox. He can't stand anyone that's not letting him riff or pushing back on something he says. He's a thin skinned pussy. But all these stupid dudebros think he's some virtue of masculinity. Kamala's more of a man than Trump's pussy ass.

So the argument is that not everyone there protesting the statues being taken down were tiki torch carrying nazis? And when he said some were fine people, he was talking about the ones not carrying the torches? Well, seems like a stretch, but whatever. He's certainly done/said 100000 worse things anyway.

if Muir and his co-host (forgot her name) were going to fact check all 33 lies, the talking time would have been like, 33 min Trump, 27 min Harris, 20+ min moderators lol

Not even just Fox. It has to be Fox with Hannity, Watters, or Ingraham moderating lmao

Correct.  The Fox News complaint is that it is taken out of context and the fine people were just the less overt racists.  It's ridiculous that they think leaving off the next part of the clip makes it any better.

And he doesn't want Bret Baier or Martha MacAllum to moderate because he doesn't think the "praised him enough" after last night's performance. Meanwhile, he thought Jesse Watters was "fantastic" and would love him, Hannity or Ingraham instead.
