That's a big blow for our offense; we will be ok defensively.

The transfer Bennett may end up at SS until Vivi is back.

I went to the last fall game and ViVi was out for that one.  They had Goode at SS and Brister and Bennett at 2nd.

Unfortunately, none of the newcomers this year really stood out all fall (I went to 3 of the games - they were free).

Minnesota All American SS entered the portal.  2024 B1G POY. Atwood and Stewie are on her recent follows

Would be a huge pickup with Vivi out

Not listed as a grad transfer, so unsure if she would be eligible for spring. Have to think she graduated early if she entered so late

She will have to be a grad transfer or get a waiver. She’s not eligible for spring 25 otherwise

Much respect for Courtney Day,  wish her the best at Arkansas.

Texas grad in Spring '23,  accepted her team role,  many key hits and valuable contributions, '22 WCWS All Tournament Team.   She left Ole Miss prior to the '24 season.   Ole Miss culture does not have a good rep if that was a reason.

The coach is a real piece of work, is what I have heard.

I guess she prefers Cam and not Cambria

February 9 - Sam Houston (Huntsville)
February 9 - Tulsa (Huntsville)
February 13 - Texas Tech (Austin) - "University of Texas Tournament"
February 21 - Stanford (Tucson)
February 22 - Arizona (Tucson)
February 22 - UC Davis (Tucson)
February 23 - Colorado State (Tucson)
February 28 - ACU (Austin)
March 25 - SFA (Austin)
April 9 - TXST (Austin)
April 23 - OKST (Stillwater)

Yeah, this doesn't seem like a good sign for their pitching.

Ou fans seems to think she’s going to RS

OU is way too high. They lost so much, I just don’t think we will know much about them until SEC play with their laughable OOC schedule

Texas plays 7 games against preseason 1, 3, 4 + 4 games against 7 and 9

That would make Missouri the 15th best team in the nation, and 9th best in the conference.

SEC meat grinder. No more weekend series against Kansas, Iowa state, Baylor, tech, UH.

I fucked up our SEC schedule. Texas plays 3 games series against 1, 15, 6, 12, 3. We don’t play bama or aggy or arky or Georgia. MSST, Auburn and UK are our not ranked SEC opponents

I'm interested to see what we do at SS with Martinez out:

Goode at SS seems most logical and not a big drop off in numbers if she returns to freshman year form, and Bennett at 2nd and Scott to LF?

Stewart has played quite a bit of SS and has a cannon.  Scott I haven't seen play SS in club ever, but for sure athletic enough not sure she has the hands.

This would not surprise me if it’s how the season starts

I'd rather Scott try and move over to 2nd, Hunter play LF.   Allow Stewart to 3b and Mitchell to 1B, and allows for Cimunez to DP.  I just prefer more power.

Goode can hopefully field the position well at SS but if I’m remembering her well she has trouble at the plate when the pitching goes from good to great/elite, so that’s where vivi would be missed the most.

The good news is Mike changes his defensive lineups a lot in non-conference

Struggles to lay off rise balls, but hit a couple bombs off them at times too.
