For the love of gawd, please no time travel and alternate realities bullshit. Just give me a straight up good-ish guys versus bad guys, lots of explosions, some humor, and a half decent plot. Not too much to ask.

Make me not regret seeing a Marvel product not named Deadpool.

This is the next MCU movie I’m looking forward to most

Love Yelena, love Bucky, Wyatt Russell, JLD, Harbour, Harrison Ford

Bucky is awesome when he's not nerfed.

He was pointless in the series with falcon imo

Good thing he won’t be in Sam’s Captain America movie

Same.  Maybe it's a middle-aged get-off-my-lawn opinion, but the multiverse plots got too tiring.  And maybe because I'm not as much of a sci-fi geek as other Marvel fans.

I'm all on board with this and Brave New World.

I absolutely HATE what they did with Taskmaster. Gender swap aside, Tony Masters had an awesome back story! Some red room assholes daughter is a fucking travishamockery!!

You can thank DC and Joe Mangianello(?)'s Deathstroke for changing the character and gender up. After Deathstroke, they probably weren't going to take a chance on being compared to DC over that.

Same thing happened with Prince Namor/Sub-Mariner - after Mamoa's Aquaman took off, they shifted continents/races so nobody would compare them.

Yeah the movie studios are a lot more careful about ripping each other off compared to the comic publishers back in the day.

Considering Deathstroke is Slade Wilson, I think you may be onto something

I remember Feige getting annoyed with somebody comparing comic book Aquaman and Namor and asking if Namor was coming into the MCU since Aquaman was popular in DC's movies, and how Namor and Aquaman literally have parents who were from Atlantis. Feige's response was something about Namor/Sub-Mariner was introduced first in the comics and Aquaman was introduced later in the 1940s, and they had always planned to introduce Namor in the MCU and it had nothing to do with Momoa's success as Aquaman.

Personally, I do think they planned on bringing Namor in (or at least I'm happy they did) because at least in the 70s/80s comics I had, Black Panther and Namor were always butting heads/playing off one another and the kid in me wanted to see that in the MCU.

And at the time they were planning a lot of this out, Feige had no real access to Spidey and his villains and X-Men/Fantastic Four and their villains.

Now they have the same problem with the Thunderbolts and Suicide Squad, especially with Amanda Waller and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine giving off vibes of being the same characters at times, and John Walker/US Agent and Peacemaker, etc.

Yeah, it's a little too on the nose at times, so they have to change it up.  At least now they have control over X-Men/F4 and their villains going forward.
