I'm getting fired up for the playoffs. LFG.

Hopefully the locals are too and start filling the stands.

Been shit crowds for a while from what I can tell on TV. A little surprised the bandwagon hasn’t been filling up.

crazy that we're 6 days from the end of the season and the lakers could finish anywhere between 2 and 8...and that there are 5 teams that could still finish anywhere between 3 and 8.

Really need OKC to win tonight so the Rockets can rest the regulars the final few games.

It's crazy that 3-11 is still undecided in the West. OKC and Houston are the only teams in the West guaranteed of the playoffs.

Agreed. Resting/sitting Amen and Fred this week would be big.

OKC has to be concerned about a mini-slump before the playoffs. They should want to win this game.

Yeah. They’ve been absolutely run in their last 2 games by us and the Lakers and need to put together a decent game or 2 before resting their guys

I like the Locked on Rockets podcast. Host knows ball and makes some points I wouldn’t normally think about. Also I believe it’s the only daily Rockets podcast.

he is solid and not too annoying.

Check out the Lakers’ injury report for tonight. Luka, LeBron, and Reaves are questionable and not expected to play per the Ringer.

Yeah. The line is OKC -15.5

They’ve all been upgraded to probable. Line has moved to 9.5

I saw that. It’s like somebody within the organization realized they weren’t mathematically eliminated from the 2 seed and sprinted to the plane to tell Pelinka.

Yea I was a little confused unless those guys are really banged up and the 2/3 isn’t that big of a difference anyways

They play tomorrow in Dallas. I thought they were deciding to put their eggs in that basket. And the 2 seed guarantees  home court advantage in the 2nd round.

I love this shit. The dumbass Lakers’ beat writers lost their minds this afternoon when the team upgraded the big 3 to probable. “OMG! The Lakers are going for it! Trying to win the 2 seed!”

Will they play Luka in Dallas tomorrow? There’s very little incentive to play him on the tail end of a back to back.

For our gamblers, the Rockets are getting 24-1 odds on DraftKings to make the Finals

I have them at 43-1 to win the whole thing.

How do y’all think Ime should play these last 3 somewhat meaningless games?  Since we play 3 payoff teams, he could try to manipulate the seelings or he can coast in. Rest isn’t really a concern since it will be almost a week between the final regular season game and the first playoff game. but injury is.

Sit anybody that isn’t a 1000% healthy. That means JVV and Amen.

The current injury report lists Jabari, FVV, and Segun as questionable.

The Clippers really need a W, all the 32 win teams do. I suspect it’ll be a smooth ass kicking with Reed and Whitmore taking 40 shots.

I wasn’t joking above.  We are playing three teams that need to win, so it won’t be exhibition basketball. Put Reed and Cam in there to both see what you have and build trade value for this summer.  Give them both >25 minutes each game.

I like this strategy.

Reed went 6-10 from 3 in this game, nice to see that. The Clippers played their starters for most of the game against our B team. Not sure who that says more about...  Nice to see a few of the younger guys get a lot of good minutes against NBA quality players. I'm not sure why Jalen Green played 15 minutes, but he did, while all the other starters were rested.

It seems the team is content to coast on from here and go into the playoffs well rested, and I'm happy to see that. There's no telling who is gonna be the 7th seed at this point, and they may as well just let the chips fall where they may.  No point in trying to make something happen when they don't need to. The Warriors just lost to the Rockets, and just lost to the Spurs at home tonight, they aren't that scary.

This team is gonna be a force if they are allowed to play tough defense in the playoffs.

I’ll have more thoughts later, but Reed hit a very impressive 3 that demonstrated some elite bonafides. The ball came to him with his back against the sideline. Kawhi tried to trap him, and Reed rose up and hit a 3 with Kawhi on his hip and a hand in his face. It was perfect defensive positioning from a long, former DPOY and Reed hit it anyway.

Team Stay Ready thoughts:

- It’s painfully obvious why Whitmore hasn’t been playing more. The guy doesn’t play team defense or offense. When his shot isn’t falling, his only elite skill is crashing the boards and dunking junk around the basket. His ball handling isn’t above average so I question his ability to be prolific driver. I think he’s talked/played his way out of attractive trade bait. I’d love to get a conditional first for him, but that’s not happening. Maybe he’s a piece we can package in the next big move.

- As I mentioned above, Reed looked good. I think the team is encouraging him to work on his floater and it for sure needs work. I think he has good instincts on when to shoot. Always in rhythm, nothing awkward. He also looked good on defense. Really active hands, forced some steals.

- Holiday should be playing more. He had a really nice game. I know he’s a good shooter, but he did some interesting things going to the rim. If FVV continues to slump… Holiday could bail us out in the playoffs with some timely threes.

- Dante looked really athletic but raw as hell. I’d continue to roster him and play him a ton in the G League. Poor man’s Adams down the road? The guy is really strong and just big/broad.

- Uncle Jeff as always gave the Rockets good minutes. He’d be in the 8 deep on every WC team other than the Thunder.

- While I like Jock, he’s very limited on defense. Tries hard, but any half assed center is going to eat him alive. He’s in exactly the right role for the Rockets. Really need to resign Adams.

- I’d probably cut Nate Williams. The guy is a George Constanza level chucker. Just has no idea how to play team offense, and he did some really stupid shit on defense.

- Roddy probably couldn’t make a team in Turkey. Whose nephew is he?

Tari played 27 minutes and looked good. I think the Rockets played him so much so he could work on his offensive game. Jalen played because of some dumb ass game played streak?

Harden had one those rare high efficiency games. Zubac dropped a triple double. Kawhi had a double double. We were never going to win, but we made it interesting. I think the Stay Ready Crew has some nice scorers, but they are quite limited on defense.

The Clippers shouldn’t scare anybody, but they’re taking any series 6 games.

Clippers really need to win out, The Lakers win last night clinched them a playoff spot, but 4-10 in the Western Conference is still undecided. Lakers are in a strong position for 3. They have the tie-breakers over the Clippers, Grizzlies, Warriors, and Nuggets.

If they are gonna go all the way, I hope they get to go through the Warriors, Lakers and Thunder on the way to the Finals. Knocking out each of those teams would be sweet, and build a lot of confidence in these young guys.
