Well, I’m ready to move on from FVV. He’s just not a value add if he can’t hit open 3’s.

Incorrect. Fred's value is not in making threes.

Great run. Coincidence that Green was out? Surely not…

Green is lost right now. Let Cam go score buckets.

Yeah, Green is not good. I hope he's not on the team next year, tired of his bullshit. They have to recognize his limitations in this game and the fact that he kinda sucks on defense.  Would rather see Jabari out there.

Green and Thompson just aren’t physically ready for the NBA playoffs, and neither have any kind of floater or pull-up game in the paint to offset the bumping they are getting in the paint. Rockets are trying to win the way UH wins, defense and offensive rebounding while putting horrible shooters and shitty offensive sets all over the court. Yet if this team also wan’t bricking FTs left and right as well, they would be winning this game.

I expect Amen to shoot better after this game, get the jitters out and all that. He's doing horribly on O, but playing good defense, getting rebounds, and helping move the ball around a bit. Nothing wrong with that, but he's got 6 points on 3-8 shooting and missed all 4 free throws.

Yeah, I don't think it's happening tonight. 4-25 from 3 is abysmal (fred is 1-10 lol).  The fact that it's not a 20+ point loss is surprising, but they got some fight in them to still win this series.

So basically every GS guard out performed Green. It was so predictable, there is nothing about his game that screams half court playoff basketball.

We can't and won't beat this team

The fuck is Vanvleet doing jacking 13 threes?

Nobody else was shooting. He has to get shots up. Jalen had no clue once GSW changed their defensive strategy. Amen can't shoot 3s. Jabari didn't get hot early. Dillon didn't shoot.

Alp was carrying the team and someone had to try to make a 3.

As I said before the game, the defense will be the defense, but they have to find a way to make shots. They did not.

Why, this team can’t shoot? Ime made the horrible decision to play a big lineup with 3 non shooters, and predictably Green is a no show.

This. Ime tried to get cute early and the team unraveled

Van Vleet is awful and pairing 2 streaky players in him and Green was a disaster last night.

Dumb passes>Turnovers

50% from the FT line

Curry going all vintage Curry against the Rockets was one of the least surprising things from last night.

The best lineup we have may be with VanVleet and Green on the bench. Thompson, Eason, Smith, Sengun, Adams/Brooks. You just aren't winning any games when your starting backcourt is 7-34 from the field.

Trying to find some positives outside of Sengun:

- Jabari played well in 2nd half after looking like a baby deer learning to walk in the 1st half

- Tari needs lots of minutes. He’s such a disruptor and his style fits playoff basketball.

- Steph went off, we couldn’t shoot 3s or FTS, and we still crawled back into the game. Physically, we have the horses.

- Ime should be able to make the proper lineup adjustments moving forward.

Not the position you want to be in down 0-1 with a vet team like the warriors. We have to win Wednesday because if I’m being honest I do not think we win in GS. We basically needed to win every game at home because I always felt we were going 7 and now it might be over in 6. We were the regular season team that went all in on getting this seed but we’re not the 2nd best team in the west as far as playoff on the court basketball goes. We just don’t have the offense against teams that play playoff defense so this is a great season to see what we need and use the trade value we have and go out and get it.

Frustrated with Green's performance, I started taking a closer look at his year-to-year statistical performance improvement and it's really underwhelming.  One low-light is that he's not even averaging a steal a game.  Tari is getting almost twice as many steals in 8 minutes less game time.

Based on Hollinger's PER, he's 33 in the league and tied for 87th among shooting guards.  It cannot be that hard to upgrade when teams like Cleveland and OKC have back-ups that far and away are more efficient and would deserve more minutes than Green on this Rocket's team.

I suck at math but this does not seem to be mathing.   33rd overall, but 87th at his position?

As I was--33rd in PER, tied for 87th in True Shooting.  I'm not convinced there's a good, public method of capturing aggregate basketball performance but these seem to corroborate the eyeball test that his shit is weak.
