Tough mudder thread

I did one probably 7-8 years ago. It was really hard, but a good time overall. Plunging into a pool of ice water is not something I particularly want to do again. And the electrodes stuck.

Did all the stops with the exception of the second to last one because the line was crazy long and we agreed it was time for a beer or two.

I've done a few. Always been in good shape, but I'm far from a marathon/endurance athlete. For me, it wasn't any tougher than a 5k. The amount of obstacles/lines make it so you never have to run consistently for more than a mile or so. Pretty fun, definitely try all the obstacles. Challenging, but very doable.

My only negative experience was the crawl in the water under the electrocuted fence obstacle. One of the wires got loose and dipped in the water, so the last 50 ft was unavoidable, nonstop electrocution, and the "safety observer" was too high to understand what everyone was yelling at him.

The most difficult part of the one I did was the run.  Because it was at Copper Mountain, the race started and finished at the base, but we had to run to the top of the American Eagle lift, which is a 1500 ft elevation gain.  The obstacles were just fun for the most part.

Without the elevation gain it would have been much easier.
