Eventually the math catches up to everyone.

Are the Warriors actually really as good as the stats say?  They are currently top 5 in O and D rating as a team, and 7-1 record to show for it. They play in Cleveland on Friday, so this might be an interesting test for the 9-0 Cavs.

Ive been watching that game for awhile. Entertaining. Westbrook is looking like his old self out there tonight.

when he doesn’t take a ton of stupid shots (so, every third game) he’s still a pretty useful sixth man. he’s about to be a lot more than that for the next month or so for the nuggets though. will be interesting to see how he does with 30-35 minutes per night.

this color guy for denver is always the last guy to figure out wtf is going on. he’s constantly surprised to discover shit that everyone else already knew, such as just now when chet tried to drive baseline and dunk on jokic, but was called for stepping out of bounds. you see it happen in real time, the ref makes the call, they pan to chet who actually rips his jersey in frustration, the horn blows, and both teams retreat to their respective benches. the broadcast goes to the standard replay, you see chet step oob, and the color guy (who’s been doing this all nigh) goes, “oh, he stepped out of bounds!”, like he just discovered the reason for this mysterious stoppage in play. guy sounds like keith moreland’s retard brother.

russ not happy he got subbed, he’s the only guy not in the huddle:

you could actually see him walk away from the huddle on the broadcast. never change, russ.

Up until tonight, they've played absolutely nobody. BUT they've been beating the brakes off of those nobodies--including 3 wins without Steph--so that's always an encouraging sign. Cleveland on Friday, OKC Sunday. So 3 road games in 5 days against the 3 best teams in the league. Should find out a fair amount.

They're small but fast, and everyone can shoot. A deep roster of interchangeable parts. 11 guys played 14+ minutes tonight, and Podz was out sick. Hield is shooting lights out (unsustainably so), and has clearly more juice left in the tank than Klay

They started 6-2 last year before hovering around .500 most of the season, so I'm a little skeptical, but they're younger and deeper. Comfortably avoiding the play-in game is probably my ceiling right now.

The interesting question is Jonathan Kuminga. He's in the last year of his deal and, if this is the year to show a leap, he's off to a slow start. Currently coming off the bench, and he and Kerr's relationship has always been contentious. After giving Jordan Poole the bag and getting very little in return, I wonder if they look to move him for a solid vet instead.

Is it still Scott Hastings? I remember watching him play against Texas for Arkansas in the SWC basketball tournament in San Antonio when I was a little kid. He seemed like a dipshit back then, too.

I don't know what spawned your intense Houston hate, but I am here for it.

I was at the game.  OKC is better than Houston at every position.  Everyone said they should have taken Sengun.  Maybe.  Chet is better.  Sengun would be the fourth best on OKC’s roster.  Rockets guards are all small and they drafted an even smaller one.  Houston was down like 25 or something and I noticed that Reed still hadn’t hit the floor.  Oh, another #3 pick (Jabari Smith) had 4 points.  They have a #1 pick and two #3’s and this is what they are. Glad they gave Sengun and Green all that money.  Green went 5-14.  Sengun went 3-12.

Roster is a bunch of undersized guys and some B players paid like A’s.
