Mark Williams' physical with the Lakers showed multiple issues and the team failed him on the exam, sources tell ESPN.

The physical was not failed due to his back, however.

He's barely 23 years old.

Is it just me or are chronic basketball injuries more of a thing now?  There are a lot of dudes who are just chronically injured.

A lot of it is how these guys are built and the overuse in their formative years. I believe that guys specializing in one sport is not good overall for them either.

Pretty wild.   I'm sure Knecht is happy.  While I know the Lakers needed a big I'm sure they arent too broken up about bringing Knecht back.   Will be a little awkward for a bit though I'm sure

Ja Morant’s dad seems like a loose cannon. Looks like he unloaded the whole nine yards on the officials tonight. The words he pulled from his arsenal appear to have really pissed off those officials. Listening to the younger Morant’s comments made it seem like dad was giving him some covering fire so he wouldn’t get ejected.

He's well known for being a shit bag.  He literally goes to every single game, home or on the road.  I can't think of another parent that does that.

He was also friends with Morant's wanna be gangster crew.

I watched that Thunder-Griz game last night. Good lord, the score doesn’t even do it justice. OKC could have named the score against a fully healthy, rested Memphis team on the road. OKC didn’t even have 3 of their top 6. This Aaron Wiggins breakout makes them doing nothing at the deadline look like the right move. Dude would start for more than half the league and is on year one of 5 year-45 million dollar deal. Maybe the best contract in basketball that’s not a rookie deal outside of maybe Austin Reaves or Peyton Pritchard.

For all of the caterwauling about the Luka trade, Dallas might have the second best roster in the West right now.  (Trade screws them in the future, though.)

They're the team I worry about if I'm OKC.  When healthy, AD is still one of the top 3 bigs in the league and all of Dallas' bigs are legitimately big.  (AD, Gafford, and Lively.)  PJ Washington always plays like an All Star against OKC for some reason and Klay still shoots and Kyrie is still Kyrie.

OKC finally having Chetenstein together makes a big difference, though.  They're a legitimately big team now, too.  Two legit 7 footers with Jalen Williams and his 7'2" wingspan now at the 3, which is his natural position.  Even Shai has like a 7 foot wingpsan.

Nurkic is supposedly a buyout candidate, he would be a nice consolation prize if the Lakers want him.
Does it matter if he fouls out against the Nuggets wearing a Suns jersey or a Lakers jersey? I don't think so.

Yep. He and Shannon Sharpe got into it on the sidelines a couple years ago.

Unbelievable.

Or rather, totally believable and expected.

Shams: Anthony Davis (adductor) expected to miss multiple weeks; could miss around a month.

I just checked ESPN and saw this headline, then laughed out loud. As soon as the Mavs started saying the issue with Luka was "conditioning" and "availability," I thought that bullshit would come bite them in the ass eventually. I did not expect that Karma to hit them this quickly though.  It's bananas that they took on his contract in lieu of paying Luka.

Even before AD's injury, this post makes zero sense. If the Mavs have the 2nd best roster in the West right now, they had an even better roster 9 days ago.

They're fucking disgusting. And they just got Chet back.

Anyone acting like the Lakers are going to make some Hollywood run to make the Finals are dumb as shit.

It would be insane if anyone but OKC made the Finals out of the West - minus an SGA injury.

Before the trade the only hole the Mavs had was an elite perimeter defender.  Who had a better roster?  OKC probably.  That's it.

This Cavs/Wolves game is great. 22-3 with 3 minutes left in the 1st. Twolves are 0-15 from the floor. Might be a record or something.

I've had funner 1st quarters. unfortunately Cleveland has too many shot getters and jump shooters that'll hit timely 3s that any sort of a comeback will be next to impossible
