Not a fuck San Anotion thing, not a fuck the Spurs thing, but a fuck the NBA and Popovich thing.

I wouldn’t wish an injury on Manziel.

What does any of this even mean?

I 100% owe KAT an apology. He's been awesome all year. But...now what for the Knicks? The 2nd round remains their ceiling.*

*just now remembering that the Indiana pacers played in the ECF last year.

The Netflix show about the Olympic basketball team is a good watch.  (The show they had about the five players was awful.)

The "We beat the Dream Team" doc was really good too.   A lot of unseen footage from that game between the college select team and the Dream Team.

Denver's 9 game win streak consisted of:

at Philly

at Charlotte

NOLA

NOLA

Orlando

at Phoenix

Portland

Portland

Charlotte

The minute they play a halfway decent team they get spanked.

Denver may be a tough out in the playoffs but certainly not a threat to get to the Finals.

Not a threat?  Denver has Jokic. He could easily be the best player on the floor for 4 out of 7 in any series and that can be enough to win the series.

East is trash

Philly hit their low point last night.  Most everyone healthy at once and lost at home to a tanking Nets team.  Benched Embid for the 4th.

They're toast for the next few years, too.  Those contracts for Embid and PG are completely awful.

Luke Kornet is NBA Top 10 in the following:

Offensive Rebound Percentage
Defensive Rating
Net Rating
Assist to Turnover Ratio
Contested 2s per 36m
Contested Shots per 36m
Pick & Roll, Roll Man Efficiency (til this is a thing)
Effective Field Goal Percentage
True Shooting Percentage

In the Last 7 Games (Feb):
19mpg
131.5 Offensive Rating
8:1 Assist:Turnover
77% Effective FG
3 Offensive Rebounds per Game

Undercover badass.

Phoenix is hopeless.

Loss to Toronto tonight and they have by far the toughest schedule the rest of the way.

They won’t even make the play-in.

25 games left and they need to go 14-11 just to get to .500

they have the following teams upcoming

Min, clips, @denver, @dal, @mem (backtoback), @houston, Sac, @LA

then

Clev, Mil, Bos, @Min, Hou, @Mil, @Bos, @NYK, GS, OKC

of those 18, they might win 5?  So that would put them with no chance to even hit .500.

They're old, they're bad, and it'll be awhile before they control any of their first round picks.

Couldn't happen to a nicer owner.

at least their pick situation is easy to figure out:

More favorable of PHX and HOU to HOU then other to BRK if HOU 1-10 or if HOU 11-30 less favorable than LAC; or least favorable of PHX, HOU 11-30 and OKC to BRK; and more favorable of (i) PHX and (ii) less favorable of HOU 11-30 and OKC to HOU if HOU 11-30 more favorable than LAC (via OKC swap for HOU 11-30 or LAC; via PHX to BRK; via HOU swap of HOU or OKC for PHX); Least / less favorable of UTH 1-10, CLE and MIN (via CLE and MIN to UTH)

They tipped off at 8:30 in Minny and will both play at 7 pm the next night in OKC.  Genius scheduling.

MIN/OKC electric boogaloo on NBA TV right now - FYI.

Had the game last night run into OT, they might gave played two games on the same calendar day.  Not sure if that's ever happened before.  They're definitely within the 24 window.

Both teams took buses to the Minny airport and got on their planes.  Minny took off and landed 5 minutes before OKC.

Screws over both teams equally so it's a push.  Also, these guys are pro athletes in their mid 20's.  Deal with it.

I don't know who is worse off going forward.  Phoenix is a little better, I guess.  They can still get something for Durant (not much really) and build around Booker going forward.  (They've wasted his career.)  No one wants Beal so they're stuck there.  No draft picks to speak of unless they can get some for Durant.

No one wants either PG or Embid.  Good Lord those are bad contracts.  Maxey is good so there's that.

Now they are up 50, 136-86 with 5 mins left.   Its fucking glorious watching that org fail.
