joker is just nuts. he is working nonstop and can't be stopped.

Fat will stop him. He played 53 min yesterday and they have a game tonight. Malone didn’t bench him to start the 4th so basically played most of the 2nd qtr and the entire 2nd half+ 2OTs. They blew out Utah Friday and didn’t play until last night so that’s probably his last real rest until the week before the playoffs

Not sure if he’ll get to take games off unless it’s the last game and they secured a home playoff series and they don’t care who they play.

Fridays game against GS is suddenly microscopic. OKC is the only thing stone set. I could see them playing hard vs the 2 laker games before shutting down their players. Just to try and fuck over LA and Luka.

Rockets don’t have an easy schedule left and neither does golden state. Last day of the season may come down to having home court in rd 1 or playing in play in

You're right.  I didn't realize how close #3 to #8 were.  Basically 3 games total.  The irony where is OKC plays LA back to back, both at home.  If they win those, it basically locks LA into the 4/5 slot, which means they'd play them in the second round.  I don't see Dallas or Sacramento winning those play in games but it's the missed week of rest that matters.

I still say if I'm OKC, I'd rather play LA than GS.  If those two play each other in the first round (they may), I'd pick GS.  Hot take, I know....

Lakers/Warriors tomorrow night should be a great game to watch. The Warriors were locked in last night and beat the Grizzlies in what was a closer game than what the end score showed. They have a chance of stealing the 4 seed from the Lakers this week if they can beat them twice.

They won’t. Lakers will punish them

Caught up on the Nuggets highlights.....

I love Russell Westbrook and he's a smart guy but he's always just mentally shit the bed in key moments.  (Usually with an ill timed, wild assed shot.)  Last night was peak Russ.  It's easy to talk about the stupid foul but the missed layup was worse, even Candace Parker said as much on TNT.  Either don't take the shot at all and run out the clock or dunk the ball.  He's been playing way too long to do something like that.

This happened all the time in the OKC years and he rubbed off on Durant.  He'd take the same stupid shots but he'd hit them because he's a better shooter.  But if they needed to burn some time before a good, you could count on one of them to run down the court and fire up a 27 footer with 18 seconds left on the shot clock.  I thought Durant would take a shot just because he knew he might not get it back.

Right now, the 4/5 series in the West is GS/Lakers.  Anyone here that thinks LA wins that?  I don’t.

Second round is against OKC.  If I’m OKC, I’d rather play the Lakers.

Golden State is the only team that scares me. Solely because Steph can get 50 anytime and butler and Draymond can slow down SGA and Dub. Hartenstein and Chet would be the difference and the okc is light years better the GS.

Your boy Russ constantly set KD up for failure.  That's why KD left.  That and Oklahoma sucks.  We know your feelings about KD.  Russ looked like what he was.  A fool with no basketball IQ.  A glory hound chasing stats

Same.  Steph can just go nuts and you can't do anything about it.  Sure, it's a 7 game series but he's still the greatest shooter of not just all time but currently.  Butler is still pretty good, too.  I agree about Chetenstein being the difference.  They're legitimately good and Draymond would get thrown around by Hartenstein.

I don't want to play Minny if I'm any of these teams.

Denver potentially punting tonight’s game vs San Antonio after having 4 days off before playing minny last night

This is probably their last true guarantee win and their starters were Russ, Pickett, Tyson, Nnakji and Deandre Jordan

I’d be pretty livid if I was one our resident nugget fans. Especially after last nights game, I could see doing this if they had won

Perhaps they think the season ends today and they want the Grizzlies.

The line earlier was like Denver -9.5 which I thought was crazy. Even if the Nuggets did play everyone.

they announced that about an hr before tip and it dropped to -2.5

And they're down 12 at half lol.

Spurs aren't any good but are good enough to hang with crappy teams and Denver just played an extremely draining LATE 2 OT game last night.

My bad I thought we were in San Antonio tonight.

I was still maybe right, though.

Yeah I’m not happy about Murray and MPJ sitting. They sat last night. I’m having a hard time rationalizing us doing this, but we are playing Friday night and this is the last back to back of the season. Last 5 games are all playoff teams I can see us playing everyone and going for 5-0 and have some positive momentum before playoffs. Hoping we’re more rested for this years playoff run than last.

Funny enough I think it was last year’s loss to a undermanned Spurs team late like this is what lost us the 1 seed and would have had us skipping the Timberwolves second round who are obviously a bad matchup for us.

Nuggets playing with the bball gods again. I think they’re fine dropping to the 6 and figuring Minny gets into the 4/5 so they don’t have to play both them and OKC. Not a joke.

I don't think the Nuggets are trying to punt HCA for the entire playoffs. They should be fighting like hell to stay at the 3 line and hoping that Minny doesn't wind up 6 because like you said you duck OKC until the 2nd round - and you'd have a decent chance at HCA in two rounds with the Rockets being inexperienced.

I could see the Grizz dropping all the way to the 8 with the Wolves, Ws and Clippers filling out 5-7 in some order. I think the Lakers stay 3 or 4 and I think Houston stays 2.

btw - last night's loss did wind up being an atrocious one because it just cost them 2 games 🤷‍♀️

Don’t know. I don’t recall every starter getting benched like that with multiple games to go. Very weird and they’ve fucked around with the standings before. Next game at GS will tell the story

I don't think it's that weird. That game last night was brutal and it was a 20-hour turn-around. Murray and MPJ already sat last night. You'd prefer the 3 to the 4 but probably not over your team's health going in.

The only one of these teams you would sign-up to play would be Memphis and maybe the Clippers to a lesser extent. You may as well try and play at home. Would you take the Luka/LeBron/Reaves show without HCA over the TWolves with HCA and a chance for HCA in R2? That just seems like a fucking wash to me.

I'm guessing they want their guys rested and uninjured going in and are going to see where the chips fall.

This is exactly it. Last year played starters too hard through the season for the 1 seed, didn’t get it on tie breaker and didn’t have enough for the playoffs.

I don’t think the result will be much different this year, but Malone was criticized a lot here last year for playing starters too much.

We’ll agree to disagree on “atrocious.” Atrocious is losing to a winless team on the road in conference when that one game keeps you out of having to play in the first four. It isn’t losing to your division rival who made the WCF last year (over you) with 2 of your starters sitting out.

Yeah I'm just fucking with you. You would have rather lost in regulation, I'll say that.

Anybody here go to the Thunder/Pistons game last night? I'm kinda surprised Schroder didn't get a tec for going straight to Daigneault at the end of the game. Got a bit chippy.

I'm assuming he was pissed over the Thunder having their power five out there in the final minute. Funny seeing Schroder and SGA arguing while dribbling out the clock.

I can see them sitting the players if they had beaten MN…but they didn’t and it was their last real free win of the season. They’d literally rested a not so hard game vs Utah and had 4 days off until Tuesday night

Ja pointing finger guns at the Warriors' bench last night. Fucking clown.
NBA won't fine or discipline him. What's the big issue here? Draymond crying about it after it happened is pretty rich. Finger motions vs his entire career of trying to purposely injure people. How rich.

Call me crazy, but if I'm trying to become a superstar in the league--but I'm better known for being a wannabe gangster who has demonstrated a pattern of shit ass gun storage habits more than for anything I've ever done on a basketball court--I'd keep my dorky little finger guns to myself.
