Seriously, this.

Both teams were feverishly trying to give the game away.

I'll take the ones we can get.

Exactly. I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, but they usually lose games like this. No lead is safe until the young players play smarter

He's shooting poorly enough and turning it over often enough to keep my expectations somewhat in check.

He's already so fucking good on D, though. And hasn't shown anything to think his decision-making and shotmaking won't improve.

I think the turnovers last night were a bit of an anomaly because OKC has such ridiculous perimeter defenders: SGA, Wallace, Dort, Caruso, Williams. They are the best in the league as a group, and maybe the best I can remember in recent memory. No weak links. And without Wemby or Vassell, there aren't many relief valves or anyone else to create shots. He had to force it a good bit.

The outside shooting was off even when he got good looks, but he had been on fire from three over the previous five games. I loved it that he had the confidence to take and make that last three after throwing up so many bricks. It was a huge shot and what a confidence builder. He also didn't get any favorable calls. The rookie treatment kept him off the line probably 3-4 times.

And still, he just kept playing through it all. 8 assists while taking SGA head on all night. Kid is just a winner.

I noticed at one point even though his box wasn't good he was like a +17 or something.

Wemby and Vassell are out again tomorrow. CP3 is probable.

Well it's the fucking Jazz so we may have enough to pull another one out.

Give Barnes some Toradol and smelling-salts pregame and tell him we need another 18.

I’m sure Chris Paul’s hamstring will spontaneously explode in the near future, but that little fucker has been great. He’s not what he once was, but he’s far from washed. I’m rather shocked by him so far.

He's one of the best floor-setters of all time. Not as much playoff success as the all-time greats ahead of him but he's Duncan/LeBronesque in his ability to squeeze regular season wins out of whatever you give him.

Need to get the cavalry back, though, because he and Barnes can't keep this up all season. Must have been a nice dose of Toradol or cortisone cause that fucker had 25.

Although Barnes is only 32 and has played 77, 82 and 82 the last 3 seasons. Could have sworn he was like 35. Must have good genes and/or takes care of himself.

If you'd told me the Spurs would be 8-8 after losing Sochan early in the season and Wemby missing three of those games, I'd have said you were nuts.

You're still nuts, of course, but now I have to back the insult with a different rationale.

Mitch is doing well as coach. Keeping that short leash on Branham I love it. He also is good at taking timeouts when he needs to.

No kidding. Came to post that as well. Plus this tidbit:

Barnes, now in his 13th season as a pro, has set an NBA record for the latest into a career a player has won a Player of the Week award for the first time and is the first Spur to get that award since DeMar DeRozan in 2020, per the team’s press release.

Solid W. Utah isn't good and we let them hang around a bit more than we should have but we keep playing good ball in the 4Q.

More Mamu mins, please.

Gruntled to see a DNP for Branham and Wesley play well.

Wesley was a +34 in 22 mins. Good Lord.
