I didn't get to watch any of the 1H but thank God we got this guy.

I'm not sure I could have done the rest of the season watching us bumblefuck quarters away at a time.

Fox can get his shot whenever he wants. This team has had so many lapses where they just go cold and can’t generate any good looks. No more.

This is going to be fun.

Mid range dribble pull up on tap, it's fucking beautiful.

You could put Keldon on a team with Steph, KD, Jokic and the ghost of Wilt Chamberlain and he would still take shitty, contested, early-shot-clock 3s.

Dumb challenge by Atlanta. Cost them their last timeout where they could have advanced the ball.

Nice debut from Fox. You can tell Wemby is still ill but he gutted it out.

I didn’t like it that they pulled Castle after he screwed up the switch. Much rather have him finishing out the game on Young than Sochan. But whatever. GSG.

CP was kind of huge. 9 dimes 1 turnover - big steal on Trae and 2 big 3s in the 4Q.

The thing about getting a guy like Fox is that yeah you get a starter that goes 37 mins like he did tonight - but that's also 37 less minutes replacement level guys have to play.

Champagne, KJ and Barnes combined for 70 minutes tonight - instead of those 3 plus Tre Jones playing 107 total (that's not a perfect example but you get the point).

Shit like that matters in the NBA where everything swings at the fringes. You have a guy shoot .390 from 3 on the season instead of .360 you may win 2-3 more games.

We aren't a finished product - there are still moves to be made and the head coach thing is still less than optimal but getting Fox was a huge step in the right direction.

GSG.

I watched Keldon on defense tonight and was shocked at how he consistently loses his man. How can you be this bad? He also went 1 on 3 which was impressive. He did not make it.

In my brothers + dad group text I made the point that maybe we haven't moved him yet because no one wants him.

Saw a clip of Fox' post-game interview on SC. Had no idea he spoke like that. I'm not exactly as plugged into the league as I was 10 years ago.

Also saw the pregame quote where he mentioned that winning tonight also improves the pick we own.

Of course we traded for this guy.

Thanks for posting that.

Wow, A+ quality guy. Shades of Manu.

It's great to be a Spurs fan once again.

For sure. Adding a front line player like Fox moves everybody down a notch for playing time. Your 8th guy is now your 9th guy. The other thing that it does is hopefully move Vassell in the pecking order on offense so he doesn't have to create so much for himself. Granted, he put up a reeking 2-9 from three last night, but he was otherwise 7-9 from two because he's getting easier looks. Fox should make the game easier for him.

The Keldon regression is tough to watch. He was a 40% 3 pt shooter four years ago on a terrible team getting terrible looks. He's wide ass open now and can't throw it in the ocean. What the hell happened to him? And his defense, as mentioned, is abhorrent. Can't stay in front of anybody and has zero awareness or concept of team defense. My hope for him early in his career was undersized 4 like Paul Millsap, but he's just a massive tweener right now without a role. He's got to be considered a negative asset at this point. Great guy, but he's a net negative on the court right now.

Getting Fox and watching them win last night was exactly what I needed after seeing Dallas stumbleduck away Luka. SA still needs one bigger body.

We have the Atlanta pick in this draft right? What is that looking to be slotted and are there any good bigs out there?

Maybe we can get the Mavs to trade Anthony Davis for a bag of chips and a soda pop?

-10.5 @ Charlotte tonight.

I would love to just to just go scorched earth on someone.

We need to get some momentum going and try and make the playoffs. A playoff series would be huge for these guys imo.

DV should not be taking any looks from 3 that aren't quality. Rushed and contested from the corner isn't going to cut it. He and KJ need to get their collective shit together or they both may be gone this offseason.

We have to quit using this starting lineup. There is no defense. For starters, why the fuck are you starting CP and Fox together?

I hope this is Mitch's idea because if Pop is the one orchestrating this then they both need to go.

CP3 came here because we promised a starting role. But it's clear he needs to be leading the bench unit.

I'd waive Chris Paul before I'd let him and Fox keep starting together.

A nutless monkey could put together better lineups than this.

Guys, I know I’m probably in the minority here but I’m pretty sure Mitch is not going to be the next head coach.

Permanent head coach, I should say.

I'm not sure it can be Pop, either. Pop is obviously in Mitch's ear helping enable some of this bullshit.

I know I sound like a broken record but it needs to be addressed. Fox trade was money - we need a coach and we need KJ off the team. FO does that and I'm happy.
