I wouldn't hate it but we already have 2 HCs. Granted going by the QB adage that means we have 0.

Realistically pops should retire and focus on being as healthy as possible for as long as he can. Should clean house in terms of coaching staff and bring in all new, potentially with no spurs ties.

Keldon Johnson - famed early-shot-clock-shitty-jumper taker - gets into his lackluster bag with 3 seconds on the shot clock and turns the ball over in the lane instead of just shooting a relatively uncontested 3.

Damn, if Castle would have finished that dunk off over Zubac after going behind the back to avoid Harden, that replay would have been shown for years.

Man we are making teams earn it down the stretch here. I watched a bit last night until LAC went on a big run but we came back and only lost by 5*.

We were something absurd like +17.5 tonight but lead at half.

If Mitch is the guy (which I think he will be) he should be instilling a bit more confidence in the fanbase.

Castle is... I mean... I don't know what to say at this point. Kind of like a D Wade or a Donovan Mitchell but he's bigger. Just needs to keep working on his 3 ball (which I think is already not that bad).

Fuck our lottery odds. Wins like this can be massive culture builders. KJ actually looked like a dude tonight. Castle is unreal. Mitch is like - fucking coaching and shit.

God damn that was maybe the most fun I've had all season watching us. 17.5 point dogs.

Please start next season healthy Wemby 🙏

I think they’re pretty much set on where they’re going to end up. They’re two games up on Portland, but Portland plays the Warriors, who absolutely cannot lose anymore games, and the Lakers (who will be resting everyone). San Antonio plays Phoenix (implosion) and Toronto. Unfortunately, the Spurs hold the tiebreaker, but as you said fuck it. These dudes needed that win.

I looked back at ESPNs preseason predictions, which don't mean a fuck, but still. They had the Spurs winning 31 games.

So winning at 33 without Pop, Wemby and Fox ain't nothing.

Errbody get healthy and get some coaching up in here and we should be talking playoffs next season.

That's a terrible prediction. Our o/u was 35.5 which - like you said - we almost hit anyway.

I still think one of DV or KJ needs to go - I'm just not sure which one. I would have said KJ the entire year. The last few weeks have me leaning the other direction.

Probably a good choice on your part. I'm here for the last game of the season to hopefully see Castle have a good game.

Toronto is shooting like 60% from three at the half, so of course this is already looking like a blowout.

But hey, Wemby is here!

Not a choice. I was glued to the Masters all day.

Glad we went out with a W and some good Ws down the stretch.

I'm really, really going through some shit. Just about any type of stress you could be under (other than my kids are fantastic), I'm currently experiencing. Financial stress, work stress, potential legal stress, personal medical/ diagnosed mental stress, marital stress, taking care of elderly parent losing memory stress. Even my dog may require surgery on her leg.  I hit the shitstorm motherlode and everything came down on me at once.

I wasn't attempting to pry with my inital comment - so forgive me - I just have a sense for these things.

Even sharing on Surly takes some courage -  and I think all of us appreciate you keeping us in the loop. Thankfully, this site is a wonderful place where we can bust each other's balls one moment and share vulnerable shit and rally around each other the next.

Best wishes to you Mitch and don't hesitate to reach out if you really need some shit. We need you and Wemby both well-rested for '26.
