I was behind the plate, upper deck, top row. I was a broke and just graduated college. I did not pay $150 lol. Also stayed the whole game.

At that point was probably my top game/baseball related thing I had attended. Been surpassed by many since.

some philly fans chirping ip to go after bregman

The Yankees need a 3B too... I don't think we are gonna line where he winds up, unless he strikes out and comes back on a 1+1 deal like other Boras clients did last year.

don't have the link handy, but Schwab is saying there's a lot of weird shit happening with our minor league coaches as well.

if true, would like to know if anyone has heard more.

The Hooks hit .218/.306/.348 as a team and went 52-84.

The Tourists hit .234/.317.398 as a team and went 51-79.

The Woodpeckers hit .222/.321/.324 as a team and went 55-75.

fuck anyone that thinks those hitting coaches should be retained.

Also, none of these coaches were hired by the current GM. This is probably a good thing, because Brown is finally getting to implement his strategy and control of the organization. I ceratinly trust him immensely more than Crane/Bagwell/Jackson. Schwab is an idiot that likes to troll for engagement.

I was still drunk from watching VY and the boys demolish ou in the Cotton Bowl the day before.

Man, what an incredible weekend

Same.  Was at a Champs Sports bar in Dallas watching the Astros.  We got drunk again and watched the entire game.  Finally made it back to Houston on Monday.  Oh to be in my 20s again.

Meyers was something like 11 Outs above average in 75% of playing time- which is a counting stat.  If he's not the best defensive CF in the game he's really close.  Bregman seems like he should be a gold glover at some point in time in his career. I don't know if that's true or not, but I feel like I'd like to see it.

Yeah- I miss that IF big time.  Was such a fun run.

new city connects ?
Normally dropped during the season right before they start wearing them. Seems stupid to drop them in October when you arent even playing anymore

Who projects as our weekend starters?  Looking over the roster the lineup should be stacked and pitching depth looks really good, but I can’t tell who we can count on to start the most important games.

Weekend starters? This isn't college.
