Toronto non-tendered Romano. Astros should be talking to them about Pressly non-stop.

The non-tenders of Romano and Finnegan don’t bode well for Houston being able to dump all of Pressly’s contract.  Doesn’t really make sense for Houston to trade him if they have to eat money, since the point of trading him is to clear payroll.

"Left-handed starter Yusei Kikuchi is in agreement with the Los Angeles Angels on a three-year, $63 million contract, sources confirmed to ESPN on Monday.

Kikuchi, 33, had a great second half to his season last year after being traded from the Toronto Blue Jays to the Houston Astros, compiling a 2.70 ERA in 10 starts."

He hates money if he does that unless it's tied to performance clauses that include things like 15 wins or win the cy young.

…with another team

The Yankees really need a 3b, since Jazz is not the answer there...  If Soto goes to the Mets, I could see it happening. I would hate to see it though, I want him to retire an Astro.

A big problem is I think he's lost quite a bit of velocity if by some miracle he does manage to stay healthy.  He's not gonna stay healthy though, so it's moot.

Morton didn't discover his velocity until age 33, as he was plagued by injuries most of his 20s as well. I am not saying it will happen with Lance, but if it did it would be awesome. Lance is a great dude, wish he had been more healthy.
