trading pressley seems like an easy route to some salary cap relief ?

The problem is finding someone who wants to pay a washed reliever way too much.

And then him to approve

I think Pressly would approve a trade if he was going to be the closer.

Finding another team to pay his salary and make him a closer is another question.

If its leaking that they are talking about trading him they need to do it cause after him already being demoted and now this talk he is gonna be fucktarded in the head

36yo opening day, no one is going to take him unless we pay his salary

Maybe drop him to 7th inning and see if he rebounds

Do they have a standing MRI appointment for the day after every time he throws?

Wait, a GG winning 3B is willing to move to 2B. That makes no sense, unless he already knows where he wants to go and they have a 3B already.

Sounds like a Boras thing to be able to claim teams set at 3B are interested.

Dana took some pretty hard line stances on his quotes yesterday. I had basically written him off as well so I guess let's see.

I can't tell if Dana is a liar or just naive

I don't think he's going to get the same price point as a 2B compared to a GG winning 3B, so that seems kinda counter-productive to the Boras modus operandi.

Dana Brown makes outrageous claims, like he invented the question mark.

Was his father a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery?

I mean he's had consecutive awful hot stoves, so this is very likely. It seems Boras has lost his ability to strong arm weak owners and GMs to horrible contracts.

This article makes it sound like OF is basically set to start the season. Tucker RF, Jake CF, Chas LF when Yordan is DH. Might pick up a cheap left-handed OF if available.

What little room there is in the budget seems reserved for corner infield spots.

Get a good LHH platoon partner for Chas and that's probably fine. If you do well at the IF corners.

Same clown douche who said Yankees will let Cole walk because of his postseason performance and budgetary constraints lmao, and that Aaron Judge is on PEDs and getting tested before game 3.

Am I on peyote or is Rob Reinhart?

We should sign Soto.  He's like 26 years old.  12/600. 50 a year wouldn't break the budget with Yordan being cheap for the next 4 years.  Tucker is gone in a year. Bregman is gone this year.  We don't have to pay Yainer for 5 years and then he will be gone like everyone else.  The point is we can afford him and he'd make us a lot better- and who gives a fuck if we suck 9 years from now.  WE should also sign Walker (4/80) and kikuchi- (3/48)

Lineup (166)

Aluve- 27M

Yordan- 17M

Tucker- 20M

Soto- 50M

Walker- 20M

Yainer- 1M

Chas/LHH OF- 10M

Pena- 5M

Dezenzo- 1M

Bench- 15M

Starters (70M)

Framber, Brown, Kikuchi, Arrighetti, Blanco, LMJ, Garcia, Javier

Bullpen- Trade Presley (30M)

Hader, Abreu, Scott, Whitley, who gives a fuck it's filler from the minors and left over starters

That's a 266M payroll and the best team in baseball.  Yeah- we are eating some money.  That money is all basically gone after this year. we will have about 100M coming off the board in 2025 and 2026 that isn't even being used other than Tucker and Framber.  Kikuchi replaces Framber and Soto replaces Tucker.  But, if you want to do the Soto, Walker and Kikuchi signings and Trade Tucker and Framber and get some real pieces back for them to build for your future, along with getting the payroll down I'm down with that as well.

Note- I don't expect any of this to happen- and certainly not all of it together- but I could see any of those 3 signings happen in an individual sense. I mean- Soto would be shocking but it would be cool.
