I'm not sure I'm sold on him. He gives 1000% every shift, but so far that is not translating to much. He's also not being sheltered on a bad team and since he is playing on a contending team with elite players, I just wonder if he's already hit his ceiling. Our hope is he's another DeBrincat but he might be another Sam Steel - gutty and determined smaller player whose major contribution is puck retrieval and sustained zone time. In Robo's first season he played 51 games and had 45 points. Stankhoven is not coming close to that - yet. I dunno, i guess the point is I wouldn't be shocked to see him traded for another Cup piece or two. I see more upside to Back and Bourque than I do Stanky, at least right now.
