Been very pleasantly surprised by Italy's gradual improvement under Spalletti.  Had France easily handled.  24' and we're up 2-0 on Belgium.  I'm still shell-shocked from our post-Euro collapse and the WC misses but its progress.

Yeah, that's good shit.

VfB Stuttgart have now scored all 3 goals for Die Mannschaft so far in Nations League play.  Leweling had 2, but the 1st was disallowed by VAR for the slimmest of offsides.

Is Pulisic currently playing better than any American player, ever?

I’d say yes.

best transfer move ever for an American.  match made in heaven.  Pulisic is absolutely destroying, and Milan fans love him.

early Champions League match today against Brugge at 11:45.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he is and I think it's a very short list you could even compare against him.

Oh. Um.

Yes - to answer your question.

His corners have been amazing for Milan.

Spain takes it 3-2. Bryson Zaragoza (ex Granada forward) was both the villain -penalty resulting in equalizer, and hero when he was fouled and kicked the gane winner. Swiss came back for a failed drive in minute 4/4 added time. Helluva end to this one.

Talk about redemption for Zaragoza. Goes from nearly costing Spain the game to winning it for them.

I drove through Zaragoza  when I drove from Madrid to Pamplona in a VW Polo (1.0 liter engine) my 2nd day in Europe when I did a 3 1/2 month backpacking trip through the continent in my younger days, so this hits close to home.

Shit, is Zaragoza from Zaragoza? And somehow I typed Bryson instead of Bryan.  That would be so meta.

That's a cool part of the country. Literally.  I'm in Torrox area now, highs in 70s and old Dutch men in shorts and black socks walking the strand.

Granada's shitty little team somehow got promoted 2 years ago, and he (Zaragoza) was a loaner from Bayern or RMA I think. He was instantly Granadas star player. They didn't win anymore the rest of the season after they recalled him if I remember right and are now relegated.....again.

Guess we'll put nations league here?  It's penalty day. Germany just got one, and Spain up on Netherlands 1-0 with a penalty kick too.
