They have much bigger problems than Swayman.

Yeah, the fact that nobody other than Pastrnak can fucking score goals. But Swayman isn’t fucking helping. Especially after this offseason.

Just now official. Sweeney is the next guy out after this season ends.

Inshallah!  I don't think it will happen, but goddamn it should.  Neely too - and he's my all-time favorite B.  Those two are the problem, despite the last couple of regular seasons' worth of success.

This feels like when I say something smart about a game and the guy calling the game immediately says the same thing:

The Boston duo and Rob Blake are probably the two biggest examples of this right now. Hell I'd argue what Blake did to the Kings in the middle of their rebuild is somehow worse since Boston has at least been good from a competitive standpoint for a while until seemingly this year.

Boston is gonna regret that one. Time to sell everything and start the rebuild. What a dumpster fire. Reminds me of those awful years where Stars had no owner and basically no management. this is different in that this is incompetence vs leadership vacuum

Going to miss Monty because he’s a good coach and it’s unfortunate that he was the easiest option to can instead of firing that douchebag Sweeney. But at this point as long as someone can fucking put the puck in the back of the net, I don’t give a fuck who’s coaching this team. Even with how awful a start to this season, we still sit in the second wildcard spot. Think we start seeing a team playing an “I don’t give a fuck” type of game and we bring back the old Big Bad Bruins style of hockey. Our next 5-6 games are against weaker opponents which I’m hoping helps build confidence.

The Jets unraveling is coming sooner than I thought.

no team was going to keep up that pace. hell, we may never see another regular season team like BOS from a couple years where they went 65-12-5. I always tell myself a 2:1 win/loss ratio is what the standard should be. Anything below that an you will be battling for a playoff spot. The Jets are 5-5 in their last 10, which only proves them human. Plenty of runway left - to take off or crash. that's what makes it all so fun

Trouba to the Ducks. Lol, why? For either team, really?

For the Rangers, it frees up cap space so they can make moves now to right their quickly sinking ship. For the Ducks, another tough defender to protect their soft ass forward group.

so now they have two backups? I don't really get that move. other than basically telling Georgiev to get fucked, I guess.

Blackwood isn't great, but he's an upgrade over Georgiev (low bar, I know).  That's the point.

Avs upgrading their goaltending.  Badly needed as Gerogiev was not cutting it.

Don’t like that the Avs gave up Kovalenko. I’ve watched him play a few times and he’s a really good young player. Seemed to be getting more comfortable with the North American style game. The Avs need to develop good forwards from within with MacKinnon and soon to be Rantanen taking up so much cap space.

100% agreed on Kovalenko, but they had to give up something with upside in order to dump Georgie.
