If they're smart enough to ask about that during jury selection, you're right.

In a bunch of cases the victim is presumed dead. Like imagine two people go into the woods or out to sea, but only one returns. I don't know the number off the top of my head but after a certain number of days, you can know with mathematical certainty that they are no longer alive.

I'm guessing the judge would basically force the jury to assume the victim is dead. Still hard, I guess, to say that the defendant was the cause of death and did it on purpose, but it gets easier when there's all this other stuff about how he was fighting with her and previously abusive. I don't think they would have brought murder charges unless they had some Kaitlin Armstrong-like evidence showing where he was at all times on the evening in question. Tracking his cars, trucks, phones, accounts, and reviewing surveillance from everywhere they know he had been on that evening and the other days before and after.

By the time they charged Armstrong they'd gotten audio of the gunshots from a neighbor's Ring camera, video of the Jeep she was using, and the Jeep had some kind of GPS on it she forgot to disable. Of course, the ballistics matched up with her gun too and she had a track record of being controlling, envious, and specifically envious of the victim.

I hope the detectives have similar evidence on Brad. If they've got all that, I'm not that worried about a lack of a body.

If I'm on a murder trial jury, there's got to be a body to get a conviction. Or at least a pool of the victim's blood that's large enough to determine that they couldn't live after losing that much blood.

What about a chunk?  A meaty chunk. Or a bony one?

I think he has been cooperating since the beginning

Yeah, the brother is a pillar of the community. He’s been on the right side of this since day 1. I would bet that the business partner flipped. He’s been held with $1 million bond for tampering with evidence and it got reduced to $100k this week. A coincidence? I think a month in jail was enough for that dude to say fuck all this, and turn on his buddy.

maybe she ran off ?

I posted earlier in the thread, according to his LinkedIn profile he was VP of a well service company.  I'm not a murderer or a cop but I'd think access to that kind of equipment might be helpful in getting rid of a body. There's a big chunk of his time unaccounted for according to that article. What does 2+2 equal?

I'm not putting it here, but her (I believe oldest) daughter just posted on Instagram that her mother was a victim of abuse and that her dad killed her in a state of rage. And that she intends to be a voice for domestic violence so that her mother's name is remembered.

Fucked up situation and I feel terrible for those kids.

Heard the same thing yesterday. She’s a freshman at UT, went to camp with my daughters, etc. Apparently Dad killed Mom after Mom said she was leaving him. Terrible for all their kids.

I've never understood this. If you truly love someone, you want them to thrive and be happy ... even if that love is not reciprocated.

Yet there are many instances of parents killing each other and/or their children when life goes against their wishes. Those who aren't murdered become irreparably damaged.

I guess what I'm saying is people like this don't really love. Their only thought--their only true concern--is for themselves.

There are too many Brad Simpsons in this world.

Got into a little argument with my wife last night.  Apperently there is a call for women to go to the courthouse on Wednesday?  She said she was going to change her work schedule to go.

We both enjoyed some beverages while we watched the Texas game. but.....

I asked her why now? Yes, I threw out lots of race, and Olmos Park stuff. Nancy Grace and her love of white victims might have been mentioned....

Hmm. This is tragic, of course, but it doesn't really seem like there are any or many wider implications here.

Dammit Ubet! DT!

Anyway, as it nears Thanksgiving, can one of the kids send a video to the prison where they say “Daddy… will you please tell us where you buried mommy so we can put her in a cemetery where we can go visit her?”

Those prison sheets aren’t gonna turn into a noose by themselves.
