I enjoyed the different 'heaviness.'  Not better than original, IMHO.  Serviceable work  though...

SIAP but this one’s damn good. Never heard of Lucy Dacus until I heard this the other night. You probably have to like the original though.

By "this one", you mean...?

I fell down a Paul McCartney rabbit hole on YouTube.  This performance was very surprising.  I have long held that Aerosmith was a brief glimmer of rock greatness followed by decades of shite, and Steven Tyler never did anything to dispel that thought, but holy crap he sings the daylights out of these songs in front of Macca and the usual star-studded Kennedy Centers Honors crowd.  Well done, Mr. Tyler.

Don't remember how I first heard of these guys... most likely on this thread. But it doesn't get any better than this.

I've seen them twice in Dallas.  Very talented.  Covering some rocking Chicago, EW&F, Ides of March, and more.  Not just ballads like this song.

And Ksenia Buzina, the female vocalist (and "shaker" on Introduction) seems to be rather, uh, talented!

Thought this was a pretty cool reinvention of a Zeppelin classic:

Yeah, that was great, thanks.  I had to look up "Buffalo Nichols" -- seems he's a blues artist who recently relocated to Austin from Milwaukee.

That gal from New Zealand flat out wails, and of course Susan Tedeschi is on a very short list of gifts from God.  Man, I love her voice.

OK, about halfway through that abominable cover I thought "wait, is that Rick Springfield"?

The answer is "yes".

I looked them up -- not only is it Rick Springfield, the bassist later founded Little River Band.

Yep. I saw it referenced in yesterday Professor Of Rock youtube thing.
