Wow I had not seen the false start by the receiver. That should be what they’re bitching about, not the rules they don’t know.

It wasn't a false start.  He reacted to the UGA player jumping offsides.  If the defender moves offsides, any offensive player can "react" to it, and the penalty is on the defense.  It's unusual that he was so far from the offending player, but the rule still stands.

Why do broken hips kill so many old people?

Where do we start? Aging is caused by three preliminary factors... As our cells divide via mitosis our telomeres shorten every time. There are members of the animal kingdom where that is not the case (like lobster) and they are considered functionally immortal meaning they could live out their lives absent predators/cataclysm and they would live forever. We are also subject to senescent cells and DNA methylation hence the statement father time is undefeated. Mix in the extensive network of blood vessels in bones and voila old people with comorbidities die.

Some of you people need perspective.

Sorry to hear about his dad. Horrible turn of events.

Losing your dad sucks. Even for gaping vaginas.

It’s sad for him and his family that his dad died. That’s a hard loss. He is also a gigantic crybaby pussy bitch on the football field. Both things are true.

My FIL is about to die, he fell two weeks ago and either has a deep bone bruise or a hairline fracture in his hip. X-rays came back negative for a visible fracture. Two weeks later his body is shutting down. He’s 84.

its a deep core injury and the ability of the body to heal at that age for something like a bone fracture or injury is almost non-existent. Blood flow is near zero to the bones anyway and the human growth hormone and other hormones that promote healing are at an all time low, basically it’s hard enough to heal where the blood flows it’s virtually impossible to heal where it doesn’t.

then add the pain, absolutely excruciating pain and the doctors have little options other than opioids and narcotics.  Then you are stuck in a loop, no healing, tremendous pain, heavy drugs and the body gets the message and starts shutting down.

Ain’t gonna happen, BUT there is a lot of love and compassion in the room. All of his daughters, the hospice folks. Actually my MIL is sleeping in the same room and she’s gonna follow him.

I should probably familiarize myself with Georgia as they appear to be on our primary foil in the SEC.

My 10,000 foot view:

- The offense hasn’t been the same since Monken/Bennett left.

- They got incredibly lucky with Bennett. Their QB recruiting has been dogshit for almost all of Kirby’s tenure. More 5 star busts than aggy’s 2022 class.

- The fanbase celebrated Mike Bobo leaving and dreaded him coming back, and here we are. Kirby is a stubborn fuck and wanted to bring his friend back.

- Their WR recruiting has been abysmal. Again, a walk on bailed them out in Ladd McConkey

- Schumann is very capable, but Kirby is delegating too much. Saban’s big recruiting pitch to DBs at Bama was that they would be individually coached by the GOAT. You never hear shit about Kirby jumping in there. During games all he does is bitch and work the refs like a government mule. When does he have time to coach his team? He’s running on to the field after every play to cry about something with a running play clock.

- The discipline issues are another indicator that Kirby isn’t hands on.

Don’t let the old man in.

Dirty little secret his last tour in the marine corps was commander or whatever it’s called of the Aggie corps. full bird, political class, moved from the pentagon to college station as he was up for his first star, didn’t think the politics were gonna make it easy so he decided to stop climbing. Testified at the Ollie north trials. Good man. Great father, accepted his lesbian daughter in the 1980s within the week she came out to them (she was in high school at the time). He said this is who she is, she is our daughter, that’s the end of it.  Needless to say my wife, his daughter, adores her dad. He will be missed.
