SEC Championship Game - Scenarios?

I don't think that's necessarily true.  5 conf champs + ND leaves 6 spots, none of which will likelly go to ACC or B12.  So, B1G + SEC likely get 4 spots each.  You sure we wouldn't be one of those 4 teams with 2 conference losses?

I would not put a dime on it but I think any 2 loss SEC team passes us and the chance of 5 2 loss SEC team is petty high. Our strength of schedule/wins is what it is and it’s incredibly weak.

Just win out and make it all irrelevant.

It’s possible. Dont leave it to chance though. Pick 2 of these you’d take Texas over.

A&M (who would have beaten us)

UGA (who has beaten us)

Bama (likely SEC Champ, or at least playing in the CCG in this hypothetical)

Tenn

Ole Miss

so do we have a stronger argument over Tenn and Ole Miss?

of course all that assumes Tenn doesn’t lose twice (including tonight) and the others don’t lose once.

that could be a big assumption in the world of college football, year of 2024.

(looking at you Ole Miss at Florida next week…or Tenn at Vandy the week after)

With UGA beating the Vols and assuming we beat UK and Aggy who do we play? Rematch with UGA? Bama? Ole Miss? Tennessee?

Texas/Texas A&M winner vs Alabama is most likely scenario.  If Bama slips up, Georgia would slide in (Georgia has completed their SEC schedule after tonight) https://bball.notnothing.net/sec.php?sport=fb

Looking like the game in College Station is gonna have both an SEC CG and playoff berth on the line…winner gets in, loser is out.

Hold me.

Will be there at the top of the fucking stadium where I saw Tucker’s kick fly in.

Great....facing aggy with something on the line.  How does that usually go for them?

You're assuming aggy beats Auburn next week. And that we beat Kentucky, of course, but I think that is a much safer bet.

I'd say aggy vs Auburn is close to a coin flip.  Early line is aggy -3.5.

Why do you assume an aggy team that could break 40 against New Mexico State is beating Auburn on the road?

I think we’re in regardless.

Well it depends on a lot of different results but the most likely unless there's a lot of chaos would be Bama, UGA if Bama drops a game (at OU, vs Auburn)

My brother in Christ, Oklahoma beat Auburn on the road. Cal beat Auburn on the road. Vanderbilt beat Auburn on the road. Auburn has no Power 4 home wins this year.

Aggy will play it vanilla and it will probably be closer than they care for but Auburn is horrid. I would be shocked if they lost.

So you’re saying they’re due

Florida could do us a major solid this week and beat Ole Miss and give us some breathing room. Also, root for Army or USC to beat the Domers and that makes it likely we go 5 SEC teams instead of 4.

I know Texas has to take care of business first but can we beat bama? They look great then they don’t. I trust the defense but can the offense take care of things. I think I saw a stat that their defense is good but they didn’t look great against vandy.

If picking between UGA or bama. I’d wanna play UGA because they aren’t even that good but then they made us look not good so

True. But Aggy with Reed at qb struggles to pass - even against New Mexico State - and now they’re down Moss at RB who was their bell cow.  I think Auburn can load up on the run and Aggy won’t move the ball.

I've seen nothing since the UGA game to give me much confidence about a potential rematch. They haven't looked great, but neither have we.

I think we match up better against Bama. Their defense is still shaky, and Milroe will turn it over a couple times. I think that game could go either way.

Both Beck and Milroe suck when pressured. Of course, Quinn does too.

Georgia's D has shown the ability to pressure Quinn. I think Bama would have more difficultly doing so, and I'm very confident Texas D would pressure Milroe.

As such, I personally prefer to play Bama from a match up perspective. I prefer Georgia from a payback perspective.

But most, I just want to beat Kentucky.

Actually a lot of scenarios that UGA wins tiebreaker over Bama even if Bama wins out. UGA needs Mizzou to lose their last two (@Miss St and vs Arky).

Mizzou sucks but I don't see them dropping both those games.

I just want Texas to beat Kentucky & A&M so secure a CFP berth and keep the Ags out in the process.

Would prefer to play Alabama in ATL because I think we match up better with them plus we then could say we beat the defending SEC Champs even though the SEC mouthbreathers would still come up with some idiotic excuse for why it didn't count/matter.
