aggy is winning all their games leading up to us.  They have a charmin soft schedule.  The way we played yesterday. aggy will beat us.  Sark will have to unfuck this offense in a hurry our defense is saving our asses but the short fields are gonna hurt

UGa is also winning out tennesse is butt hole.

This is all correct.

They very well might, but I would not be surprised in the least if they lose next weekend.

Yeah, do not discount South Carolina's chances to upset aggy. Coming off a bye, playing at home, maybe aggy comes out flat. It's a night game as well.

Don't discount the possibility of having the same refs who gifted LSU the win over SC.

I don't think Josh Pate is the only aggy-lover around those parts.

LSU is going to finish the season unranked. People are way overreacting to them not being able to adjust to a one dimensional QB coming in after half. Ags look better than most expected but they’re hardly unbeatable.

I'll take a little column A a little column B. LSU obviously has issues despite a nice stretch of play. Losing to that SC team is ridiculous.

At the same time I think aggy is actually pretty fucking good. If we were playing them next week in BCS the spread would be extremely tight.

The spread might be tight, but they would be favored.

Yeah, letting the ags run for 271 while only throwing it 8-20 for 134 yards is wild. Not sure that will happen again all season.

If we make the CC game it will be nothing short of a miracle. Ewers has to stop being a pussy and step into his throws instead of waiting until the pocket breaks down and he runs sideways until he sacks himself. I don't care if Arch starts at this point, I just want to win out. QB controversy or not, I just want to win with whomever gives us the best chance to make the CFP, or even the CC.

Our offense is broken. We need Bond back since he's a threat, but we don't have a capable pass blocker. We need Gibson back to give us that guy who will pound the rock and fall forward. After 4 years Sark has done the same things over and over. It's not like we're devoid of talent, it's play calling and a QB who is scared. Something has to change. Sake has to stop being conservative, and that doesn't require throwing the deep ball. Wingo needs to learn to turn around to catch the ball. Blue has to stop getting tackled for a loss. Wisner is fine, but he's tiny. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Colin Page get some carries just to see what he can do. He's looked good, regardless of who he's going up against.

This entire offense needs a reset. Something has to give. Sark is calling a pussy game against teams with equal talent. It's maddening.

Sark dialed up a trick play that would’ve went for a huge play and it bounced right off Tre hands. Tons of great calls don’t hit because Quinn just simply doesn’t execute.

That’s not on Sark for play calling, it’s on Sark for personnel.

He should’ve seen how Quinn was practicing in the bye week and realized that Arch is the starter now. Redevelop the game plan for Arch and start him.

I haven’t completely given up on Quinn but he’s hurt and playing like he’s hurt AND snake bit. He just isn’t a “gamer” that plays his way out of a funk, he’s got to be healthy and practicing well and then he gets dialed in and plays well.

I guess since it’s his last year Sark is committed but he’s so obviously not himself it’s just hurting his draft stock more than helping anyway.

Agree with all of this. Quinn just isn't the guy, and Sark needs to put his ego aside and go with the guy who's as talented or more and isn't hurt. It's not like we're facing UGA again.

Quinn's stock is done. He'll be lucky if he's drafted in the 3rd rd, even if he has a good showing when the scouts see him at the Texas combine. He's still hurt, playing like he can't move, doesn't step into the pocket, waits until the line breaks down and then self-sacks himself. It's frustrating. We can't keep going in circles and expect to get better. We're obviously struggling on offense because of Quinn. Even if Tre had gotten the ball, there's no way to know if on the next play if Quinn throws an INT. How many redzone opportunities did we have where we failed? That one to Moore was just mind boggling.

So trying to decipher, if UGA, LSU, ATM, and UT all win out (but UT>aggie) then the 4 way tie will have LSU Aggie in the CCG?

We need 2 of them to have 2 losses to make it in?  Seems like we are headed for the worst opponent win % of the 4 teams so….

Comes down to records of conference opponents.  No way to tell at this point, but right now LSU's are +3 ,UGA's are -8 and UT and aggy's are -4.

That's fine, but let's not pretend it doesn't matter in a playoff system designed to make as much money as possible.

The SEC is absolutely getting three teams in the CFP, and most likely four due to conference SOS. Tennessee should lose to UGA and LSU should at least lose to Alabama. Both could lose two more. Even if Texas drops a game to A&M, it’s very likely Texas gets in.

Now, all bets are off if Texas loses twice.

Winning this conference means nothing, get better and stay healthy is more important

Request: Venn diagram of people throwing a hissy fit about no Big XII championships and current SEC championships don't matter group.

Granted Sark already admited he is part of this group, but I want that first SEC championship, I only consider a NC to supercede it but only injuries are an issue, something else people have not noted how many hours of practice time does the playoff teams get? I never paid much attention during the 4 team era.

Seems that we want Georgia to lose.  There's no tie-breaker scenario where we want UGA in with us.

LSU also matters a bit:

1) We want LSU in the tie-breaker if it's a Texas-Tennessee-aggy tiebreaker.

2) We want LSU to lose if aggy lose this weekend to avoid potential Texas-UGA-LSU tiebreaker.

There is no way in fuck the SEC doesn't get four teams in. Give me a break.

1 G5

1 B12

1 ACC

1 B10

That leaves 8 spots. Give the B10 three and the B12 and ACC two each (which is extremely dubious). There's your four.

It's more likely the SEC gets five in than three.

The only chance we're out is if aggy stumbles against SCAR and comes into that game outside the top 15, then they beat us.  Even then, we're very likely still in at 10-2.  It's not as if everybody behind us is gonna win all four games.

If UT and aggy both win out and that's a top 10 matchup, there's zero chance we fall out of the top 12 by losing it when we were in the top 5 coming in.

*Top 11 but yeah.  I still have scars from Barry fucking Switzer announcing OU squeaked by Texas by 0.00000001 point in the BCS back in the day so I'm gonna expect disappointment until shown otherwise.

Agreed. But I don't see us winning the conference with the way we're playing. At this point I'll just take a berth in the CFP. Quinn has to re-wire himself (I don't see that happening), or our defense is gonna have to carry us.

If we can't win the conference because of how we're playing, what is the point of getting into the CFP?

I suggest play better and win the conference.

No begging required.

Making the playoffs, regardless of how we're playing, will still help with recruiting. Even if we're playing like garbage, it still has long-term effects for those kids seeing we still made it, and they can come in and help us take that next step. JMO

ACC - Miami, Pitt

B1G- Oregon, Indiana, Ohio St, Penn St

B12 - BYU, Iowa State

G5 - Army/Boise State

Ind - Notre Dame

That's 10 teams, so it's actually pretty easy to picture.  It's not great that 2 of the 5 remaining SEC teams have non-conf losses.

You can probably leave out the loser of the Big 12 championship game.

their DL will feast on our OL/RB/QB failings in pass pro, blocking and reading defenses. Elko is a bad match up for Sark's offensive unit right now. Sark better be overtiming it for that game plan now.

That's like asking if you can't win your division because of how you're playing, what's the point of getting into the MLB/NFL/NBA playoffs.

You want to get into the CFP to have a shot at winning the national championship. You don't need to win your conference to do that.

Decent fallback to winning.

Also, how you're playing can change on a dime. Just look at last season.

This was the answer I expected.

But, again, if we can't play well enough to win the conference, why would one expect to play well enough to win it all?

Yes, I understand it *could* happen.

My point is... Win.
