If the Dodgers lose this series then they will have just shit down their legs once again.  Which wouldn't shock me, but they should destroy the Yankees in 4 or 5.

With our starting pitching, can’t say I agree it’s one sided.  This seems pretty even up.

Its like 7 hitters to 3.

Just don't go full Dave Roberts

I’ve been critical of Roberts in the past, but I do think he’s done a great job during these playoffs managing the staff with spit and glue.

Fuck Evan Phillips off the WS roster with arm injury.  He hasn’t been scored upon in the playoffs.  But Vesia and Brusdar are back.  Not sure how effective Graterol will be having not pitched in ages.  Kiermaier also left off.

Nice play.  If that was Dave Concepcion in Riverfront he would have had him.

I haven’t watched baseball in a while but is it now normal to dance after you get a flukey base hit like that Dodgers dude did?  That used to be a guaranteed beanball the next time up.

Pretty much.  I wouldn't say that was fluky though.

I didn't watch a whole lot of Yankees regular season.  How the hell did Judge hit .322?  He has the same holes in his swing as always.

They weren’t there in the regular season. He wasn’t flailing his hips open on his swing, etc. October came and he’s back to 2016 form. It’s clear he’s not made for the moment and needs to get benched. He’s fucking terrible and just a liability at this point. I could go up there and have more competitive at bats, seriously. Fuck.

For anyone bitching about this series or saying it's bad for baseball - I've been staying with my granddad for a couple months now who is in increasingly poor health. Talking to him can be frustrating because he's always in a shitty mood and bitching about the same shit over and over again. Obviously it isn't all his fault but it's still an ass-whipping at times.

The World Series being on and being between two familiar teams - to him at least - is an easy conversation piece and gives him a nice distraction. He's at most "himself" these days when telling stories - his long-term memory is still very sharp for his age - it's just the day-to-day and short-term stuff where he's really slipping.

I don't have a strong pull for either of these teams and don't hate that they're in the WS. I know a lot of people do - but I think it's important to remember that stuff like this means a lot to a whole lot of people in this country.

Not preaching or anything - I'm plenty cynical and jaded at times - just wanted to share a little anecdote of a way in which this is a fairly big deal for baseball and to a lesser extent America. I mean it's fucking LA vs. New York and the flagship team of both. No matter what sport that doesn't happen often.

It’s only the Astros fans that’re bitching. The series is a hot topic on basically every social media platform currently
