I feel pretty comfortable saying the dodgers won’t win another one for a long time. The game isn’t built for dynasties anymore. No one has even won back-to-back titles in over 20 years.

surly posters running to make 2025 WS bets on the dodgers:

Hahahaha.  We’ll be better next year.  Doesn’t mean we’ll win, but we have a great farm system, the best roster in the game, and an ownership committed to winning.  We’ll be a better team next year.  For sure.  What a stupid comment.

If you could just maybe not make Soto an offer he can’t refuse that’d be great. I’d like for the Yanks to be contenders for the next decade or so with him and not the tire fire they were in 2023.

Your turf?   Are you from the NYC area or are you one of those loser “fans?”

Anyone who is a Yankees fan from outside of the tri-state area sucks at sports fandom.

Dodger and cowboy fans are a thing

I think you're right. I bet it's at least 16 years before they win another one.

If we sign no one, and lose Teoscar (which we likely will cuz he’s gonna get PAID), we’ll be better next year.  But Teoscar wants to stay.  And we’ll offer a lot.  We’ll see.  But we are already odds on favorites to win it next year.

I was?  How so?  Because I didn’t think it was a slam dunk?  It wasn’t.  Those Yanks were a tough fucking out.  They just went brain dead at just the right time.

Astro own the Yankees.

well you say that...but we prob won't know for sure a few years if its actually clean, give them a chance to not give a contract to a player who becomes disgruntled and decides to talk...

Gerrit Cole COSTS Yankees After Forgetting To Cover 1st Base!?

Cole seemed to point the finger at the 1B

So this is where I should be taking out a 2nd mortgage and betting it all on Dodgers 2025 championship, right?

I can hold the deposit in the interim. I promise not to spend it on crack rock and Bulgarian butt plugs.

Yeah, I see that on Cole. You are taught in pee wee to cover first.

P ALWAYS break to cover 1B on ANY ground ball hit to the right side, but especially to the 1B, and stop ONLY when waived off by the 1B.  Equating Rizzo to Buckner is fucking ridiculous.

Of course. And sadly this is not only a LA thing.

Looting broke out on the streets of Los Angeles on Wednesday night after the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Yankees to win the 2024 World Series.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said they had received reports of "looting at several stores in the area of 8th and Broadway" and people were urged to stay out of the area.

"If you are on the street, at or adjacent to that intersection, leave the area immediately and follow all officers orders," the LAPD wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

The LAPD also warned about "a hostile crowd" that had surrounded an MTA bus and was "attempting to set it on fire in the area of Sunset and Echo Park." A video shared by the Los Angeles Scanner on X shows a bus in flames at Sunset and Echo Park, where police were trying to stop baseball fans gone rogue.

Yep but Cole was gesturing that it was on Rizzo

Well Cole is a dumbass.  The pitcher should be running towards first base until the first baseman is moving to the bag with the ball, especially in a World Series game.  Honestly both are at fault but Cole definitely gave up on the play.

But you don't do that. You also don't scream on a fly ball YOURS or YOU GOT IT.

I think in a must win WS game you cover first.

Back to Boone, yeah he fucked up. But he did not commit those errors and balk. Might as well blame him for the assholes in Right Field as well.
