Criticize your favorite movies

Not a criticism of Godfather II but a what if. I’ve read that The original script had no Frank pantangeli  but it was Clemenza originally in that slot.  Richard Castellano made some demands that were rejected and refused, and died offscreen.  I think The pivot to Pantangeli was masterfully written and was perfectly acted.  The scene between him and Tom at the prison was powerful stuff.  But what if it had been Clemenza in those scenes?  Different but I’m doubtful they’re better.

Andy Dufresne is beating on the giant sewer pipe in time with the thunder and when he breaks through a huge column of shit water shoots up 10 feet in the air, but when he sticks his head in the hole there’s only a few inches of sewage in the pipe that he crawls through until it dumps into that creek. How is an open pipe pressurized?

Shawshank, when he busts a hole in the sewer main to escape. Huge geyser of shit water...nope. Sewer main/ building drain is gravity flow. The only way it's pressurized like that is if it's plugged up downstream and holding back 3-4 floors of head.

It was dramatic though.

You seem to know your shit

Assuming we're talking about a 77 T/A.  The 455 was no longer available.  Engine choices were a Pontiac 400 that made 185 and an Olds 403 (the subsequent 6.6) that made 180.  The Pontiac made 325 ft-lbs of torque, though.

The Oldsmobile engines suffered mightily under emission controls, moreso for their displacement than other GM engines.

it's by no means my favorite movie but an entertaining as hell one...

but in the updated version of the thomas crown affair with brosnon, the most critical part of the heist of the monet in the first act of the movie is walking out with it in his briefcase that was also the heater to raise the temperature in the impressionism room. the monet did not fit into the transport briefcase and it would have required folding and breaking the stretcher that the canvas was on in order to close the suitcase. the shot of him loading it in the suitcase cuts away right before he goes to close the suitcase and walk out of the room.

always irritated the ever loving shit out of me. the whole god damned movie was predicated on this moment. just make the fictitious painting smaller you assholes.

scene in question...the moment i am talking about is from 1:55-2:00 below.

Moonraker is your favorite movie?

Favorite Bond and favorite goon of his era.  And also note the plural in the title.

In Saving Private Ryan, one of the planes that came in to save the day did an unnecessary barrel roll.

I thought it was a loop the loop.

At the end of Office Space I get that the fire burned up the confession but it was a computer crime, wouldn’t the evidence still exist and the investigation continue? It can’t be that every balance and electronic record of transfers and deposits just ceased to exist. There was real money at issue.

Thanos could have just snapped his fingers and doubled or tripled all the available resources.

Which should be unnecessary anyway because the universe is essentially infinite with infinite resources.
