I literally had to walk away from the tv for most of the 4th and went for a walk around the neighborhood.  One of the most frustrating games I have watched Texas play in 30 years

Not even in the top 20 for me, but it was pretty darn frustrating.

Quinn gets rattled too often. They better have Arch ready to go next week. Thank God it’s an 11am kick so we can get that shit over with.

Well since it’s a bye week that won’t be a problem

Bye always plays us tough. Definitely another trap game for the Horns

I bailed at the Vandy TD in the 3rd.  Went and hung out with the cat and cleaned the kitchen.  Didn't get the least but upset last week as I considered GA to be as good or better than TX.  Today, not so much.

I love a good story, but not at the expense of my Horns.  Pavia's prancing around after the 1st TD + the nonstop dicksucking by the announcers was pretty off putting.  Glad our D came to play.

whenever theres a feel good QB story against Texas in a close game, the announcers fucking go ALL IN on it.

remember the Baylor QB... Charlie Brewer story.... Grandpa and Dad both went to Texas, and mean old Texas didnt give him a scholly (we fucking offered him a preferred walkon, which isnt bullshit for a 3rd string QB)... and that ENTIRE Baylor game here 2 years ago was "Charlie wants revenge, Charlie playing with a chip on his shoulder, Brewer wants to win so bad and see theres his fucking family former longhorns now in green)

we're 3-1 in the SEC

With wins against Mississippi State, a historically shitty OU team, and Vanderbilt...

Look, the record could be a lot worse, but let's not act like Texas has beaten anyone worth a damn yet.

  • CSU (5-3, 3-0)
  • Michigan (4-3, 2-2)
  • UTSA (3-5, 1-3)
  • ULM (5-2, 3-1)
  • MSU (1-7, 0-5)
  • OU (4-4, 1-4)
  • VU (5-3, 2-2)

We’re 3-1 in the SEC. As stated.

True, but we'll certainly learn how this team shows up with a lot on the line. Every single remaining team on the schedule could beat Texas if they play poorly.

Florida is playing much better after looking terrible early on. Arkansas is 5-3 and it'll be all-out jihad in Fayettenam. Kentucky got closer to beating UGA than Texas did. A&M isn't terrible and it'll be wild in College Station.

My apologies if I currently don't have much faith in our team, specifically the head coach, OL, and starting QB not to shit themselves down the stretch.

We didn’t make the schedule, hope that helps!

To be fair, Texas made 1/3 of the schedule haha.

Reminded me of the Sugar Bowl against Georgia.  We had that game won and just needed it to end 28-14.  Two targeting penalties in the last two minutes made their final drive last about 30 minutes.

Haven’t read earlier part of thread but does anyone have any explanations for OL issues? Also I know Ewers is not mobile but call a couple of roll outs.

I think they try to be too cute with formations and motion.  Only takes one mental mistake and a defender is wrecking shit or being held to prevent it.

We have the athletes.  We shouldn’t need all of the window dressing to be successful.

He sucks as a head coach. Plain and simple. He’s usually pretty good handling the offensive side of the ball, but he will fuck that up too.

I want to give him slack and say it’s because he’s dealing with a head case in real time and under pressure. Maybe that’s me just wish casting?

ALL GAS, MY ASS!!!

What a fucking abortion of an offense.

A 2 yard pass on 3rd and 8 is a very low probability throw. Quit doing that shit.

Calling a running play parallel to, and 4 yards behind, the LOS works maybe 1 time a game. You can’t start 2 and 12 half of the time if you aren’t even going to throw the ball 10 yards downfield.

I like that our WR’s are good blockers, but they are better receivers. It would be nice to throw to them down the field sometime.

How many passes did QE throw 15 yards past the line of scrimmage? Most of QE long throws were not close enough for the receiver to touch, much less catch. Best WR room in the country and we can’t get a pass to them.

Texas can win with QE if we start fast and get a big lead. QE does not have the “it” to lead Texas in a come from behind, 2 minute dill.

Quinn started 18 for 19 for ~ 211 yds. He ended up going 27 of 37 for 288 yds, meaning he finished 9 of 18 for 77 yards, or a little over 4 yards per attempt. That’s some Mendoza Line kind of production.

6 points in the 2nd half? Boo!

10 fucking penalties for more than 100 yards.  Just way too sloppy all game.

Sark's interview makes me ill.  Apparently we played pretty well.  ["rolls eyes*]

it is like this under every coach we have no matter how good or bad our team is.  the refs are fucking us over constantly.

The short, west coast passing game is becoming too predictable. They are not making teams pay for sitting on all the shallow routes.

Until Ewers shows he can beat defenses downfield or at least on medium depths throws, it’s going to be tough to move the ball against good defenses.

I left to take my kids to a Halloween party in the 3rd. Valvoline game changing moment.
