ohio state guards look like the guards baylor always has  thick, can bang in the lane and can shoot.  we always have weak shit that can't get into the lane at all.

I would have felt better if it were a back and forth contest that we just fell short in, but we were dominated for 40 minutes in a game we never led or even tied up after 0-0. Ohio State is just as young and transfer heavy as we are, and they outplayed and outcoached Texas. Our bigs won't be able to contribute much on offense so we'll lean on Tre most games until teams start doubling him and then we're super fucked.

The decision to roll into the season with Shedrick and Onyema as our big men was a choice

Onyema shouldn't have even been on a D1 roster last year. And the fact we not only brought him back but gave him minutes tonight gives me deep deep concern.

Mark can score the ball.   That will help.

This team is definitely better 1 through 16 than last year but my fear is we collected a bunch of individual talent instead of assembling a roster. Are a bunch of 22 and 23 year olds going to defer to Tre Johnson all year or will we see too much hero ball at the worst times?

We’ll see. 1 game sample size applies and Tramon Mark will help quite a bit.

Positionless basketball might be the future, but nostalgic me will always want an actual point guard. Without one...well, you see the result. Johnson is absolutely the truth, but we have to take the pressure off him to do everything. That task falls on multiple guys, starting with the HC.

Our bigs did a little banging, but they're so deficient in actual skills that it didn't matter. Sure looks like a roster of JAGs and one monster talent. Hopefully Mark makes a positive difference...but if tonight is who we really are, we'll overachieve to win 18 games and get a 9 seed.

yeah, again no shooters except for our 1 and done NBA sure thing.  ugh. better teams will make Johnson's life miserable. CDC better be ready.

we’ll get a 7-10 seed, get hot (led by Tre), go to the S16 or E8, and he’ll be safe for another two years.

I think the most disheartening part of this is realizing we just don't have the players.    And now we're all waiting on a guy who is in a walking boot to pop out of it completely healthy and be instant offense.  Oy vey
