I think why dems are nervous right now is why I have felt confident about Trump winning for awhile now.

I don't think the young voter in this country respects the democratic party ideal or mission anymore. They haven't seen it put into action in an effective manner.

I also think that black and hispanic voters are some of the hardest hit by inflation and current economic conditions and they simply want a change. They aren't getting the answers that they need under the current administration.

I - also - think that there are a lot of Americans that have voted for massive issues such as abortion or climate change and then seen nothing done about it whether at a state or federal level - regardless of who they have voted for.

Right or wrong - justified or not - this has been my take for awhile now and I think it's going to play out and I think Trump is going to win.

I'm sorry and y'all can call me a bigot or fascist or whatever but this is just the way that I see it.

Lot of ways to breakdown the outcome but these are some of them.

Religion.

Big part of it.  Hispanics are very religious overall.  It's not too hard to translate biblical values to conservative values.  Most of my Mexican family loves Trump.  A Trump admin with Miller will probably denaturalize tons of latinos and deport them and their children, but, they don't care. They don't think it can happen to them.  They've literally spent their entire lives in the US.  They think they're safe.

Shit, I can't even speak Spanish.  Fuck me if they come after us.

You're overthinking it. This country is not ready for a female president and most certainly not ready for a Black female president. A younger version of Joe Biden might have gotten it done.

It's one of the many ways the most powerful nation on earth acts like a provincial backwater compared to other western democracies.

Unless you’ve done a deep dive into Black people and their issues with this country, please don’t speak for Blacks to sound “inclusive”

It's the fucking inflation.  People will vote for the other party when they feel it in their wallets.

The real bitch of it is that a good chunk of the higher prices were down to corporate America exploiting the situation. The same corporate America that's in bed with the GQP.

It's so depressing seeing millions of people keeping themselves down by voting against their own interest, and all because they can't be bothered to properly educate themselves and/or don't know how to do so.

To be clear, you wouldn't be a fascist for predicting that he'd win. You'd be one if you contributed to his victory directly.

Of course, in order to contribute to it directly, one would have to live in 1 of 7 states.  That's the beauty of our system as currently constructed.  We get to watch millions of other assholes from other states determine our reality.  Because our say doesn't matter based on where we live.

It’s real simple. Biden / Harris admin is unpopular and the average American feels poorer now than 4 years ago. That’s the entire story of the election.

Yes. Again everything had gone really well the last few years. I was just puzzled why they didn't seem to punish the Democrats badly in 2022. They decided to wait for two years of a very strong economy, which is objectively much stronger than 2020 instead.

I think the story of the election is Donald Trump. People just love the guy and it doesn't matter what he does.

It's easier to translate those values to progressive values.

This might be it, sadly enough.  You've got counties that wouldn't vote Hillary or Harris but were OK with a mediocre white guy in Biden even a great black guy in Obama.

You are so correct.  That’s why both Putin and Zelenskyy support Harris.   I’m afraid Trump will demand Putin surrender the Crimean Peninsula  back to Ukraine.   Trump is a hard liner that is still pissed Obama allowed Putin to take over that portion of Ukraine.  WW3 it is…

Found the Russian troll.

Machismo and ladder pullers. And racism.

The only people I have ever heard straight out refer to Black people as monkeys are my Mexican family.

My wife and I agreed not to go around much to certain extended family gatherings anymore because of it. Racist slurs in spanish flying around like nothing from mostly 3 or 4 males. We didn't want our girls exposed to that.

I definitely wasn't trying to sound "inclusive". In fact - I was attempting to be a bit provocative.

Either way - you aren't president of the "black people" and you sure as shit aren't going to gatekeep me,

To be clear Trump back in office will have no threat of wwiii with Russia at all. He will give them Ukraine, Moldova, and a few other former Soviet occupations. Trump is a crooked pussy.

WW III happens when he attacks a NATO country, which he will.  The problem is Trump will support Russia, but we will be obligated by treaty to support NATO and Trump cannot unilaterally pull us out of NATO anymore.  I don't know what happens in that scenario.  I believe the GOP can sit on their hands and do nothing legally.  I don't think there is any mechanism that can force Trump to support NATO if he chooses to stay on the sidelines or orders us to help Russia.
