Either way - you aren't president of the "black people" and you sure as shit aren't going to gatekeep me,

Dude shut the fuck up.

The same corporate America that's in bed with the GQP.

Once people start to realize all of Washington is in bed with corporate America, maybe some things will actually change. There’s a reason they all become millionaires. Stock trading is very difficult, yet so many politicians can outperform many hedge funds.

I think why dems are nervous right now is why I have felt confident about Trump winning for awhile now.

I don't think the young voter in this country respects the democratic party ideal or mission anymore. They haven't seen it put into action in an effective manner.

I also think that black and hispanic voters are some of the hardest hit by inflation and current economic conditions and they simply want a change. They aren't getting the answers that they need under the current administration.

I - also - think that there are a lot of Americans that have voted for massive issues such as abortion or climate change and then seen nothing done about it whether at a state or federal level - regardless of who they have voted for.

Right or wrong - justified or not - this has been my take for awhile now and I think it's going to play out and I think Trump is going to win.

I'm sorry and y'all can call me a bigot or fascist or whatever but this is just the way that I see it.

Fuck your dumb longcat post

I think the story of the election is Donald Trump. People just love the guy and it doesn't matter what he does.

I haven’t seen that. I voted for Trump, begrudgingly, because I didn’t like Kamala’s vision for the country, which is pretty much a mirror of Biden’s. I wanted her to sway me over but she got all politician on us and skirted questions on her policies.  I know exactly where Trump stands even if I don’t 100% agree with his policies. I know about 20 people voting for Trump and there are only a couple that actually like the guy. They just don’t want to vote for Kamala.

It seems like the candidates and the campaign didn't matter at all.  If the GQP had run anyone other than Trump it wouldn't even be this close.  If the Dem's ran anyone, assume it would have to be a male, probably a white male.  Buttigieg?  Newsome?  Shapiro?  We have a deep bench, but not one of white straight guys.  Maybe the post-mortem will prove out sticking with Biden was our best shot.  But would anyone here have been okay with that?

If @Zonahorn is correct, Harris can still squeak by with PA/MI/AZ and we have 4 more years to stave off the cliff.  Otherwise I think we are in for President Vance within a year of inauguration and it'll be worse than it ever was under Trump.

Dems will rue the day they didn’t put Josh Shapiro at the top of the ticket. They would have locked up Pennsylvania from the jump and they could have worked to solidify the Latino and Black male vote.

As painful as it is to say, this country isn’t ready for a woman president and you need to run who will garner the most votes. Kamala underperforming Biden in most of the big countries proves this.

The military has to be given the orders.  If the commander and chief is on the opposition payroll, then those orders aren't coming.

Machismo and ladder pullers. And racism.

The only people I have ever heard straight out refer to Black people as monkeys are my Mexican family.

in High school (in little ass Gainesville) the fights were always between the Blacks and Mexicans.

Some of my best friends my entire life are Mexican/Latino. I don’t get it. I never understood why each one looks down at the other.

But…I will say I met someone in Florida who was “brown” and my ignorant ass just assumed he was Mexican. Well, he told me he was from Paraguay and he was offended I thought he was Mexican. He told me that Latinos view Mexicans as the trash of Latino culture. My young ass had no fucking clue.

Where the fuck am I gonna raise my daughter? Can't be this fucking state, and America is looking pretty cooked

Colorado probably best bet close by. Assuming you're referring to Texas.

My youngest has a year and a half left of HS. Will talk to the wife about planning to move after that to give them the option to come with us if they choose. Can't risk them getting pregnant in this state. Reading about what happened to Nevaeh Crain is so damn frightening. I think I'd go rogue if that happened to us because of these fucks.

If dems have to rebrand, might as well go with states rights. if you want your wives and daughters and dark skinned neighbors to be second class citizens in Texas and Oklahoma, fine, but don’t fuck with everyone else, and let a great migration occur. I’d move to Minnesota or California. California has tons of land, let new affordable cities develop.

Also full isolationist, Ukraine? Gaza? Fine, nothing we can do about it, whatever, do what you want. Bad shit happens all over the place and we can’t change it, who cares if it’s Sudan or San Antonio. We tried and lost.

Better to be #2 in the pecking order than #3. This is literally the only logic. Weak psyches lead to this shit.

Of course, in order to contribute to it directly, one would have to live in 1 of 7 states.  That's the beauty of our system as currently constructed.  We get to watch millions of other assholes from other states determine our reality.  Because our say doesn't matter based on where we live.

It's crazy how the framers nailed so much and yet bungled the presidential election procedure so badly that it doomed this experiment from the start.

Not fair enough, people who enable and support fascism and hate don’t deserve to be treated with civility. They have created and uncivil society that aims to hurt people we all care about. Fuck that shit.
