Kamala about to get blown out in the EC and popular vote. They havenโ€™t even called NJ yet. ย The Dems have a lot of soul searching to do for 2028 as to who can recapture and build upon Bidenโ€™s 2020 coalition. ย

The good news it they'll have another set up from an incompetent administration.

That's also the bad news.

Dems have to really rebrand and get stronger more aggressive messaging. Theyโ€™re bringing a knife to a gun fight in terms of average person perception.ย

Unless they buy up a bunch of blatant propaganda outlets, not sure how it changes.

One problem for Dems is they keep thinking America is smarter than Americans really are. They keep thinking, thereโ€™s no way Americans will fall for Russian disinformation. And yet, Americans keep showing you THEY FALL FOR RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION!.

Iโ€™ve said it before and Iโ€™ll say it againโ€”Dems have to get younger. New names are needed.ย

Agree. And stop relying on star power. It really does not work. It is entertainment. We make fun of hulk hogan at trump rally's, but the message came from Miller and the gang. Yell louder, don't make sense, just stay on message. Push fear. Wonder where we heard that in history before.

This will keep happening as long as they are afraid of being called socialists. They need to lean into those progressive policies they know to be popular.ย

The Harris campaign used Liz Cheney to campaign for her. That's almost beyond comprehension, but totally on par for Democrats who are terrified of their left wing.

No response to this?

Putin decided Ukraine was worth invading while Obama and Biden were in office. For whatever reason, he didn't try it while Trump was in charge. Maybe Trump barters an end to the war as he mentioned, or maybe he brings a show of force to get Putin to back down. Too early to say, but the fact remains Putin didn't screw with Ukraine while Trump was there. Trump pushed NATO members to hold up their end of defense spending to put pressure on Russia to begin with, and he also urged Germany and other European nations to reduce their dependence on Russian energy to hurt Moscow. That bit them in the butt when the Ukraine war started.

As far as destroying LGBT rights, that's not really been part of Trump's platform in the past. I'd be surprised if he did anything there.

SC justices, yeah, I could definitely see them getting paid off to retire and they'll get replaced. At the end of the day you're replacing two conservatives with conservatives though.

So all that is going to be really shitty? I think we'll be okay.

I think an effort at deportation will be made, it will just depend on how much money they want to throw at the problem. At the end of the day the damage is probably done, and there will be a lot of tax dollars spent assisting these people that crossed illegally.ย

I was just thinking about this.

How do you convey a concept to third graders?

run your script through some sort of Flesch-Kincaid AI LLM.ย

ย

Trump legitimately speaks at a 4th grade level. Helps him connect with the mouth breathers that get their news from chain emails.ย

Fuck you you fucking piece of shit. I have cancer. The pills I take to keep me alive cost $30,000 a month on the best and most expensive possible insurance that exists. If they take away protections for preexisting conditions, I die and my wife and kids go bankrupt in the process. Fuck you.ย

Every R voter around me (physically, i.e. neighbors) are at least partially dependent upon social security, whether they want to admit it or not.ย  They've just chosen to potentially have that cut.ย  I hope they are happy.ย ย

Oh, they are never, ever going to cut benefits to current recipients.

Boomers win again.

Well, the off-year elections and mid-terms are going to be like D+20

Yeah I thought that last time. Didn't really work out.

That is what makes this time different. I can see pretty clearly what this means.

Thank you for an actual response. I think you're being willfully ignorant about Putin's influence in the country and why Russia wanted desperately for Trump to be President. But we'll see.

Also, we both know what would actually put a real dent in illegal crossings: real, significant penalties to any company caught employing an illegal citizen. Why do you think it is that the GOP would never, ever vote for something like that?

Agreed, the average American intelligence has declined significantly and we need to adjust. More lights, more colors, more trans fear, more pandering to machismo Latinos.ย

We'll see with Putin. I think Russia prefers chaos and sees Trump as the more divisive, which is good for them. On the other hand, Putin obviously hasn't feared Biden or Obama when it comes to involvement in the Ukraine invasions.

Truth, farmers would get hit most hard probably if the labor dried up. For that reason GOP probably won't significantly penalize employers using illegal labor.
