Alvin Bragg should probably be bigly concerned right now.

Go get your tiki torch and put on your brown shirt! You're gonna get the chance to see your political enemies punished for their speech!

NSIAP - she only got 78% in Philadelphia.  Lowest I can find - Kerry got 80% in 2004.
FAR fewer votes than Biden.

D's need to do a post mortem on this and craft a good plan for 2026.  Like it or not, it's clear Harris was not a good candidate.  And that die was cast in 2020, when she was chosen as the de facto successor to Biden.  Biden chose to step down too late.  etc.  And, her plans did not resonate with voters.  SMH.

Because people generally can't connect the dots like that. I don't blame people for feeling economic pain, blaming whoever is in power, and voting accordingly. It's what we do.

I blame people for being dumbasses who can't connect dots. Don't give people a pass for stupidity. Very little of the economy at any given time has been influenced in any way by the current president, and it's an intellectually lazy way to decide how to vote.

The Bragg prosecution was absurd.

I don't disagree with any of this. But here we are.

Nah.  It was because the democrats were too nice and the policies too scientific.  😏

The real kicker is gonna be as the justice system swings from uncertain inaction to straight weaponization and extremely fast prosecutions of trumps "enemies of the people", all driven by the fomer delayers.

I hope you're able to throw some sand in those gears from your position in public service, and not be harnessed to its purpose

I'll be surprised if anything like that ends up in our court, and more surprised if we don't do anything but follow the law.  But I assure you, my retirement has fully vested, and my passport soon will be renewed.  I will not facilitate evil.

I'm telling you to make a real fucking plan if you think this is that bad or shut the fuck up and try to limit the impact around you with your own subsidy out of your own pocket.

No one is coming to save you, you just save yourself, the American way.

Just to be clear, I voted all blue down the line.  I just understand that my opinion is the minority.  By a lot.  The choice we have is to work with it or give up and leave.  I think I’m just going to ride it out in my quiet corner of the country.  I’m going to get everything set up for a quick exit just in case though.

Oh for fuck's sake.  It had nothing to do with her sex or color and everything to do with her policies and constant bobbing and weaving on issues.  She would not answer basic questions to the American public.  She wouldn't even take a position on Prop 36 (Anti-Crime Proposition), a proposition that was approved by 70% of voters in the Peoples Republic of California.

No, you see, it's that Democrats need to be more like Republicans.

The Dem mainstream made huge errors.  Look at the state initiatives.  In every case Voter ID initiatives passed with huge margins, don in the 80’s, which is unheard of.  A ton of Harris voters want this.  The lack of Dem backbone to support voter ID like every other nation has imbued a huge lack of trust.  How do you not support the law?

same with illegal immigration  and border security.  Dems have mistaken border security as an antiimmgration which alienates lots of legal immigrants who did it right.  Most folks want increased legal immigration.

dems failed to see that their key constituents are the ones suffering the most from inflation, increased rents, and lagging wages.  They want real solutions and Dems are too busy embracing Palestinians, trans folks, and Ukrainians.  She was a terrible candidate as she was an unpopular VP among a lot of Dems.  She lost ground with every key Dem demographic.  She failed to increase a vote in any county vs Biden.  Has zero to do with her being a woman, her race, etc.  she lost because she’s out of touch.

There is nothing she could have done that would have won your vote.

The last big bill was spiked BY REPUBLICANS, just so they could campaign against it this election. Do you acknowledge their responsibility in stopping the last bills passage?

This.  And I would say it was her gender first. There are a lot of misogynists that post on this board.

He won't. In fact, if they put their plans into place, crashing the US economy like Elon said they would, then things will get a lot worse for a whole lot of people. But they are too fucking stupid to understand what is at stake economically.

Just wait until mass deportations and see what THAT does to the price of fucking eggs and milk. Idiots.

I don't necessary disagree with any of this, though you certainly take a lot of liberties. But then how a moderate can turn around and convince themselves that Trump is "in touch" is way beyond me.

There's a double standard for Democrat and Republic candidates, and I suspect that's not likely to go away.

Playing the race card is weak. She was a terrible candidate that got 100 days to campaign. She wasn’t going to win bc she was behind the 8 ball from the get go

This.  No one in the media will say it gender was a factor.  (Not THE factor.)  There is misogyny across the political spectrum.  The Hillary people said in 2016 it was a 3-5 point drag and that's a big deal in a national race.  There are voters out there who voted for a great male candidate in Obama, an unknown candidate in Trump, a mediocre candidate in Biden, and a crazy candidate in Trump.  The only variable is gender.

I think you are in a bit of a mania right now and you need to focus on yourself rather than trying to make everyone around you feel the same way as you do. Everyone didn't hear it before last night they won't hear it today.

Predicting the future is part of the problem, the future happens one day at a time not 12 weeks or 2 years or 4 years at a time. What are you doing for tomorrow to be better than today? If the answer is nothing then why do you expect it to be better?

It’s mostly blue collar outdoor libertarian types who put Sheehy in office.  Most of the millionaires in the state are people like me and my family who don’t vote there.   His campaign did a good job of highlighting the truth about Tester and how he votes with Schumer.

The tv ads were brutal on both sides.  I’m curious on how much money was spent per vote.  Had to be a record for a senate race.
