All of it.

And I'm sure they haven't published all of their plans, either.

Heard that too. Holy fuck if so.

And if that is the case, there goes the argument of doing away with electoral college for popular vote.

The biggest problem with this election is not necessarily Trump winning President. It's the R's getting a majority in congress along with Trump winning presidency.

You want a gridlock, at the very least.

Let them. Burn it down. We warned them and they didn’t listen. I’ll be fine no matter what but I wanted Kamala because that’s what’s better for the entire country even the people I don’t agree with. But if they don’t care, then fuck it, let them feel the pain and I’ll drink my hundred dollar tequila while laughing at their karma. Fuck them.

Best hope it's just old and lazy and spends all his time watching TV and bitching on twitter about poor coverage.   He may just be too lazy and incompetent at this point to do the work needed to push through much.

He has lieutenants that actually want to fuck shit up. That's the concern. If it was truly just him and his whims, we'd be fine. He knows less shit about fuck than we do.

Yeah it's the Stephen Millers that we have to worry about. Dudes that are straight up more evil than Trump.

Trump himself will be mostly harmless. He'll be on the golf course. Like others said, it'll be those around him. Absolutely no one who isn't 100% loyal will be appointed to any position.

Koch and Crow will pay off Thomas and Alito to step down in 2027 to make sure they keep the SC majority for a generation.

Just how stupid are these stupid people….?

I knew this country was fucked the first day of my law practice. The client I was helping that day told me her fear in the upcoming (2010) mid-terms was that Dems were set to end Medicare and Social Security. That day I learned I could change the subject with the best of them, and that I had to stop talking politics so much.

How much control does Trump have over the commanding generals and military chains of command? Constitutionally, complete control right? Is he going to have those Hitler generals he was jealous of and what does he do with them? And I'm terrified of where this goes once the collection of bad decisions that are about to be unfold catch up to him. When things are going south, how will he respond?

Lol. Gridlock.  The legislative branch is impotent now that SCOTUS has given Trump immunity.  Even if it hadn’t find me 11 senators to convict him.  The house could impeach him a. Dozen times over and he wouldn’t be indicted by this incoming senate.  Everything will be by executive order.  Some governors will fight it and we will then see how far Trump will go.

I enjoyed the beach again today and finished up writing a paper this afternoon I needed to do for class. This election is not wholly surprising, but I would call it disappointing for the people it will affect in a negative manner both inside and outside the United States.

We will now see who picks up the mantle of leading the free world. Last time Merkel was there to pick up the slack and she isn’t walking back through that door. Either way Europe should probably just tell us to kick rocks as we are in no way, shape, form or fashion a reliable partner. 80 years ago we were busy stomping out the last embers of the Nazis and Imperial Japan. Now we have more in common with those two failed dictatorships than we ever should.

To those people in Michigan who think not voting for Harris is going to save the lives of your family members in Gaza. Hoo boy does the GQP have a surprise for you. I had decided last year that I was exiting America no matter how this went, but I am able to do that and not everyone that is ready to leave America permanently has that same ability. I’ll put in my two years out here in Hawaii away from the day-to-day mess the mainland will devolve into. I said to myself that once I move that I will never set foot in the continental US ever again. I am okay with that and want to make that choice. Life is too painfully short to live around what the US is about to become. Not every American that wants out has that ability though. I am sorry that millions of our fellow citizens have decided to make your life a living hell solely because they can.

My wife started the process for her dual Italian citizenship last year.  It's still going to take at least a year, if not more, depending on the Italian government, but I'm glad we at least got it started.  Yes, I know the Italians aren't a great model for government right now, but it would get us both access to anywhere in the EU.  Fucking nuts we now have to think about this as not just a retirement/luxury option, but maybe a necessity.

Were I you I would get on the first flight there just as soon as all the paperwork is the official. Change can be difficult, but that is just how life is. Having read you on here for years I know that you will do better in an environment not beset by constant and unnecessary strife. Go out and find a new place in Europe that will bring you more joy and happiness than America.

I'm approaching work about an expat move to London. I'm done.

You should have enough contacts in your company and goodwill built up with people to exit stage right sooner than most. Just do it and go enjoy the world. Again life is just so incredibly short. Do what you can, while you can before you cannot.

I dunno, man ... the UK is pretty grim these days.  And the weather in London sucks bigtime.

I go all the time. I have a lot of friends already there. It's actually cheaper in London than in NYC. I need to be Dotard free.
