Would this not fall under the restraining order against holding up all federal grants and loans? Not that this administration cares about following the law. It just seems like this would be covered under the same order.

We are in a legitimate constitutional crisis.

So, right wing twitter so desperately wanted the helicopter pilot to be trans that they outed the wrong person who, BTW, seems like a very qualified helicopter pilot.  I like how the anti-DEI crowd is now obsessed with identity politics.

Ellis is a Chief Warrant Officer and Black Hawk helicopter pilot who has served in the Virginia National Guard for 15 years, according to the news outlet Smerconish.com. She served in combat zones in Iraq, along with other operations overseas.

She serves in the military part-time, and also works as an IT engineer in the private sector.

I caught the beginning of Trump’s press secretary’s briefing. “Oh she’s probably gonna clean up the insanity that came out of Dotard’s mouth.” Nope. She started it off blaming the crash on DEI and Biden.

Do you not remember Sean Spicer's first briefing where he ranted about crowd sizes? It's been a clown show ever since. Why would you expect any different?

We're adding unprecedented tariffs to our largest trading partners tomorrow and more "details" will be released tomorrow. What a shitshow. I bet they're literally prompting ChatGPT to design a tariff plan.

I know. It was just so insane and disgusting, I figured they might use the PS to smooth it out. But, why bother I guess. His cult followers don’t care and democrats are largely invisible and mute.

DJT: Trump Media gifts DJT shares to FBI pick Kash Patel

Soooo anyone want to explain this one to me and how it's that much different than any other scummy politics as usual stuff that the MAGAts think Trump is here to end/drain the swamp?

Setting aside the persons involved, it's not a completely unusual transaction.  Members of the BOD granted shares.  Two things do stand out, they're not options, apparently, but outright shares, and it's $800,000+ at current prices.

Corporations grant options to directors as a form of compensation and to "align" their performance with that of the company.  Options meaning restricted as to vesting and subsequent sale, so that the director is incentivized to stick around and make the company profitable.

Even though directors of major, Fortune 500 companies tend to be overcompensated, it's usually to the tune of a couple hundred grand for a few meetings a year and some ostensible liability. A one-time payment of $800k to undistinguished directors of a shitass, unprofitable corporation is pretty extraordinary.

Then you add in the Trump circle jerk and it's pretty disgusting.

Bruen continues to be one of the all-time worst SCOTUS opinions.  Just hot fucking garbage.  Because it fails to acknowledge that while there was no law restricting 18 year olds from purchasing possessing handguns in 1789.....modern handguns DID NOT FUCKING EXIST IN 1789.

Imagine this stupid ruling: "Because there was no law requiring a 12 year old to have a license to fly a jet in 1789, we must strike down the law requiring a license to fly a jet, because "the right to transportation shall not be infringed" was embedded in the constitution in 1789."  That is exactly how stupid this shit is.
