Just got this from my wife. Round Rock, TX. My wife is of Asian descent, born in the US and raised by a white family, with an advanced medical degree. But she's the one who doesn't belong.

  1. That sucks
  2. I hate to say this, but it's not surprising at all
  3. Wait till they take down Loving v Virginia... it's going to get worse, possibly much worse

This is America .gif

My wife was born in the US (not that it matters one fucking bit) and her family is from China so I know where you're coming from.

I've spent the weekend ruminating on just how fucking stupid and broken Americans are and just how fucked we are because of it.

Under his eye or whatever

I don't mess with Gen-Z anymore, my girlfriend is a millennial. We went out for Italian food tonight and despite our decision not to discuss politics we ended up bitching about the insanity.

Long story short, I had spinach and gorginzola ravioli with a salad, had a mutual bitch fest about Trump then finished the evening with sex and drove home.

I see you mentioned the ravioli.

Same battlecry as the anti-union crowd. "They raise your prices!"

Keep your voting base poor, so they can barely afford to exist. Maintain economic control over their mind.

Blame the entity that actually tries to protect them, or the one that does not affect them at all.

Meh.  Who needs all that shit?  Shit is for snowflakes.

Funny, I don't remember that line from the campaign.

Elon Musk did say that we would suffer economically temporarily in...building whatever it is they are building. That was during the campaign.

A lot of this is about two things: forcing people to accept unreality and then leaving them with no choice but to double down on Donald Trump.

First, look at how Canada is being described.  You may remember Canada as a peaceful, chilly place nearly exactly like America.  You may even have evidence that Canadians and Americans have fought side by side for over a century.  You might think that the U.S.-Canada economic and security relationship is the envy of the world and that any nation would want to share a border with a country like Canada.

But Trump has told you that you are wrong.  Canada is killing tens of thousands of Americans with fentanyl.  Or maybe it’s impoverishing you.  And maybe this horrible place is so awful that it also needs to be part of America. And half of America is accepting this revision of reality as it takes place, and not just half of America but very serious and powerful people.

And by looping them into his unreality, he makes them dependent on him.  Because they can’t go back to reality. They can’t back off of the odious things they’ve done and said and expect to remain serious and in power.  And they’ll become unwelcome any place but in DJT’s fantasyland and the few authoritarian hellscapes that share in já unreality.
