Leader of the Coast Guard. Three hours to vacate her house. Cruelty is the point.

“President Donald Trump's administration evicted former Coast Guard Commandant Linda Fagan from her home with three hours of notice on Tuesday — not even enough time to gather her personal effects — according to two people familiar with the incident.

Fagan, a four-star admiral and the first woman to lead a branch of the military, was removed from her post as the Coast Guard’s top officer on Trump’s second day in office. Officials at the Homeland Security Department — which oversees the Coast Guard — cited border security issues and an “excessive focus” ondiversity, equity and inclusion among the reasons for her dismissal.”

What a paragraph

"Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on social media that he would not attend a meeting of foreign ministers from the Group of 20 in South Africa later this month, days after President Trump made false claims about land seizures in the country. Rubio cited what he called South Africa’s focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, and climate change."

FYI, my wife's agency is in a leased space owned by a major  Trump donor.  I'm pretty sure that lease will not be cancelled.

Plenty of office space in the DC area available. Just got to pay a premium. Lerner will be buying an English soccer team soon.

This is a full out attack on the government’s ability to do anything. Laws are words on paper- they have to be implemented and enforced by people. These attacks are intended to destroy our government’s ability to function. It’s sabotage and will be costly if not impossible to undo

I used to complain about the price of eggs. But with Trump in office, maybe we just get rid of eggs altogether. If you can't buy them, you are saving money. Thank you, Mr. President!

My kid codes super bowl ads for broadcast, and the price for an ad is almost double from last year because people might see Taylor. The fix is in at a $1m/ half second.

That office got reorganized but will likely get killed completely.  And the FBI under DJT is also not going to go after FARA violations or pursue criminal charges for export violations. They also disbanded the unit for national security corporate enforcement.

Yeah, I'm not sure how far this is going to go.

Edit:  also, you can bet your ass this is directed at NFL owners who wouldn't give Trump the time of day when he was trying to buy the Bills.

There will be elections, but any state that goes GOP for governor, SOS, or on the Supreme Court is never going back at this point. Look at NC, the GOP retook the state Supreme Court and is now in the process of throwing out votes to give a Republican a seat they lost. This is why the Democratic holds in the 2022 midterms were so important.

Hold key Governor, AG, SOS, and Supreme Court positions in WI, MI, PA, AZ, and NV in 2026 and you live to fight another day. The path to 270 at least exists in 2028. Lost them and it's over.
