I've been getting texts/messages from people who are totally apolitical about this and they are all like what the actual fuck are these idiots doing?

This is the biggest disaster for normies that could have happened.

Apolitical, apoplectic, apathetic, apropos.

It continues to amaze me how not a single one of these fucking goons is capable of admitting a fuck up regardless of the scenario. I've never seen less accountability in my entire life. They are a text book example of every single thing you never want in a leader of any organization at any level.

What makes me rage is the fact that they can basically say, "Yeah, so what?" and they still choose lying. It's not like anything will come out of it. Wouldn't it be bigger big dick energy to own it and keep your job anyway?

This country.

A quick side note: Donald Trump reportedly told transportation secretary and Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Battle of the Seasons champion Sean Duffy that he should hire Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduates to work as air traffic controllers. The average starting salary for an MIT undergraduate is $126,438. The starting salary out of ATC school is $43,727. Business savvy!

Yeah I talked about this when it happened. Just another quick little peak behind the curtain into the brain of Mr. Art of the Deal, showing his true level of knowledge and what color the sky is in his world.

Hint, for those who didn't figure it long ago like the rest of us ... he's a moron.

Trump is the model. They all emulate him.

I’d take Chauncey Gardner over Trump any day. Trump couldn’t grow a garden if he tried. Chauncey may have been an imbecile (too) but he wasn’t malevolent.

Yep. Me too. I referenced ol' Chauncey more in the context of how wrongly so many people reacted to him - perceiving his wisdom, or lack thereof.

On a side note, back before my parents moved us from Tennessee to Texas, we used to eat at the first (and at that time the only) CB, in Lebanon, Tn, right outside of Nashville. It was a lot better back then. /csb Just doing a weave like the dotard.

Agreed it seems ominous

There is no "seems" about it. I am amazed at how many people have no idea how fucked this country is going to get how quickly. Too many people are assuming that the protections/firewalls we relied on in the past are still a thing.

They’re re-engineering the meaning of words to facilitate their long game. It is now a violation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act to consider discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

I'm not sure what you are talking about.  They clearly have made "diversity" and "equity" code words for discrimination, so you want those words out of your policies. The burdens on a discrimination claim remain the same.  The EEOC is just going to be focusing on cases brought by white bitchy males in the next few years.

Most Americans know that for all the flaws, America has some advantages. So I look at the above screenshot and think about the plainclothed agents who grabbed the grad student at Tufts earlier and wonder just how many of those same Americans are looking at the future and realizing that today it's international students being hunted down but eventually it will be others. Where the rubber meets the road is that fear--fear of being disappeared into a private prison, out of options and out of reach that will lead some to inform on their neighbors to either buy time or to cave to the regime and its demands to obey. Those cheering these tactics because they assume they are safe and those realizing that the line in the sand shifts closer day by day. Such a deal.

The really galling part is these people don't shut the fuck up about being patriots when they're actually some of the most un-American pieces of shit ever seen in this country. I used to think they were hypocrites, but I've realized they're just so goddamn ignorant that they have no idea what this country's ever stood for or our significance in the world.

It's the height of irony that these are the real vermin we desperately need to eradicate from this great land.

This is fine.  This is normal.

(This is unconstitutional usurping of Congress's power of the purse).

(Free gift link)

A few highlights:

The discontinued grants include about $11.4 billion from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as around $1 billion from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, known as S.A.M.H.S.A.

On Tuesday, Andrew Nixon, a spokesman for the federal Department of Health and Human Services, said in a statement: “The Covid-19 pandemic is over, and H.H.S. will no longer waste billions of taxpayer dollars responding to a nonexistent pandemic that Americans moved on from years ago.”

The Trump administration’s cancellations of grants and contracts throughout the government has led to numerous lawsuits from states and nonprofit groups, which are still in their early stages. The health grants in question were authorized and appropriated by Congress, and their termination may lead to new lawsuits. Several states said they were exploring legal options.

The funds from S.A.M.H.S.A. were not earmarked for Covid programs, and they were intended to address mental health and substance use issues.

Texas has f’d around and is now about to find out:

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/26/health/trump-state-health-grants-cuts.html

The Department of Health and Human Services has abruptly canceled more than $12 billion in federal grants to states that were being used for tracking infectious diseases, mental health services, addiction treatment and other urgent health issues.

The cuts are likely to further hamstring state health departments, which are already underfunded and struggling with competing demands from chronic diseases, resurgent infections like syphilis and emerging threats like bird flu.

No additional activities can be conducted, and no additional costs may be incurred, as it relates to these funds,” the notices said.

For some, the effect was immediate.

In Lubbock, Texas, public health officials have received orders to stop work supported by three grants that helped fund the response to the widening measles outbreak there, according to Katherine Wells, the city’s director of public health.

But not to worry.  Sec’y Kennedy is on top of it:

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/25/health/measles-kennedy-vitamin-a.html

Doctors in West Texas are seeing measles patients whose illnesses have been complicated by an alternative therapy endorsed by vaccine skeptics including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health secretary.

Parents in Gaines County, Texas, the center of a raging measles outbreak, have increasingly turned to supplements and unproven treatments to protect their children, many of whom are unvaccinated, against the virus.

One of those supplements is cod liver oil containing vitamin A, which Mr. Kennedy has promoted as a near miraculous cure for measles. Physicians at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, say they’ve now treated a handful of unvaccinated children who were given so much vitamin A that they had signs of liver damage.

Some of them had received unsafe doses of cod liver oil and other vitamin A supplements for several weeks in an attempt to prevent a measles infection, said Dr. Summer Davies, who cares for acutely ill children at the hospital.

Just an FYI I posted a free link to the first article in this thread hours ago.

food was loaded and ready for delivery. pure evil ...

Trump cancels 20 semi-truck loads of food deliveries en route to Ohio food bank.

Each truck holds 100,000 lbs—so that’s $2 million worth of food—about a week’s worth for Northeast Ohio.

"This food is just going to sit and spoil... And that would be the loss of 2 million, 3 million pounds of food," explained Food Bank CEO Kristin Warzocha.

The overall percentage of Americans who would be an affirmatively worse president is infinitesimal.
