but his ip location would seem to indicate an auto bias against both our university and "liberals" in general, which made the decision pretty fucking easy

Ah so aggy. Makes perfect sense of course.

Two weeks later: Why not done?

See, first he has to deport the people who build houses, then they will start. And he has to import the timber from Canada, ya know, to keep prices down. Oh wait.

The populace didn't. A sizable minority of Americans did.

Depends on how you look at it, I guess.  Not standing up for Navin, BUT:

~152 million people voted, out of a pool of ~245 million eligible voters.  So yes, minors and anyone else not eligible sat out but nearly 2/3 of those that could have voted, did.

Turnout in non-swing states has a big impact on the overall numbers.  The results, even from a technical minority of people, are a good representation nationally of what people want.

Renaming the Gulf of Mexico deeply bothers me.  I know, it seems like small potatoes.  But it’s a deeply totalitarian move.  It is more than just dumb, it’s an attempt to demonstrate the power to change maps, to upend language and usage, and to take over our daily speech and geography.

Yup, an early loyalty test. DeSantis already swallowed the load with an executive order that called it the Gulf of America.

It wasn't even a majority of voters.

Abbot will follow once he gets back from DC. Amazing he was allowed up front just when Trump was talking about him. Yeah, that was not set up at all.

If morons want to make themselves known, who are we to protest?

Yeah, I'm over the whole "it's a minority of people" argument. Technically true but the others that sat around and shrugged aren't any better and possibly even worse. We are a MAGA nation with all of its weak insecurities.

The statement states an update within 30 days is required. And every 30 days thereafter. Seems reasonable. Probably wrap the whole thing up before the 2025 holiday season.

I honestly don't even know what to think anymore. It has been eye opening seeing how many people I know are all in on this and I can't even comprehend why. I'm not sure they even know why.

They’re dumb fucking okies.

I grew up in norman. They’re dumb as fuck christofascists that see this as ushering in the end times.

This asshole has dementia. At least we’ll have some laughs at this shit.

No we won’t. The MAGATs will insist that his drooling idiocy and incoherence is actually genius, and signs that he’s actually getting SMARTER every second. And the entire GQP leadership will do the same…forgetting that they spent years attacking Biden for being less insane and deranged.
You know that’s exactly how it will go.

Yep.  Mine was career Air Force -- flew in Germany during the war, then again in the Berlin Air Lift, then later in Korea.
