Good thing “DEI” hiring is dead so Trump can hire his potato brained besties based on merit.

Classic Trump-ian response.

1.   Deny, deny, deny

2.  Attack/smear the other side.

3.  Ignore the objective facts/evidence.

Doesn't including the "bottom scum of journalists" make their breach worse? Idiot.

This politico is one of many that keeps on following the hot dog on the fishing line. I get it. But dude, pot calling kettle on the rationalizing if you think this is going to be the straw that broke the camel's yada yada. You ever see a parent that can't quite get the hang of not capitulating to toddler and school age children's extortion schemes? Yeah, you know who I mean because you've all seen them in the aisles at the HEB.

That is exactly what should happen. They should bring this up in every hearing on Capital Hill for this year. They should go on TV and ask publicly if Hegseth is drinking again. They should be hammering this message every day.

Absolutely.  And they should question if he is taking drugs and demand a drug test.  If he refuses they need to go in every podcast/news show and ask WHY is he refusing a drug test??  If he agrees make the conditions so embarrassing and invasive that he has to refuse.  Or just cancel it and claim he refused to do it.  Cause that is exactly what Pubs would do!   Come on Dems…

Trumps EO mandating documented proof of citizenship excludes birth certificates and non-REAL ID drivers licenses.  Passports are OK though.  If only US citizens with passports voted I feel confident that this last election would have turned out far differently.

The reason they are floundering so bad is that every lie they can tell makes them look worse.  If the Russians or Chinese hacked the chat then they can’t keep comms on the highest level secure.  If Goldberg “added himself” then it’s even worse.  And the truth— that the NSA can’t manage a group chat— is an episode of Veep.

The chef’s kiss is that they are all in character.  Waltz is a doofus who fucked up his contact list. Hegseth is a drunk who is too excited about blowing shit up.  Vance is a complete oppositional twat. Rubio is just sitting it out and hoping no one realizes he thinks they are all dumb assholes.

No one could have written their parts better. You even have Chekov’s gun hanging on the wall in the first act (Hegseth assuring everyone of “complete opsec”) only for it to go off in the third.

Here is why SignalGate has legs: Trump is the only untouchable figure in MAGA world. He is their infallible god. He can lie, kill, fuck anything, they don't care. But everyone else is just a secondary character that can be tossed away or blamed.

Focus only on the people within the group chat. Keep Trump out of the spotlight. Relentlessly go after Waltz, Hegseth, Gabbard, and Kash Patel. Take dead fucking aim and force these pieces of shit to pay.

Mark Elias will cut Trump's ballsack off and feed it to him.

That's because the act of the Sec. of Defense sending the text to the wrong person automatically declassifies it. Duh

Yeah, that's probably not going to fly any better than all the state law efforts to suppress the vote with the various voter ID provisions.  There is a big wildcard out there though.

And, guess what the fundamental proof of citizenship for a RealID and US passport is?

MAGA customer told me today that she fears we may be heading to recession “because Trump inherited such a bad economy and he’s only doing what he thinks is right for this nation, but it may be too late.”  It takes so much energy to not tell her she’s a fucking moron.

I was talking to my insurance rep in the Montgomery/Conroe area the other day. We live in Austin but they have a good rate. She's very competent in insurance stuff and really nice on the phone. Seems, or seemed like a good lady and not a complete idiot. We got to talking about all the wildfires after a fire question on my home coverage. Got off on a tangent about the fires they've been having around there. We'd never talked anything political before, and then she goes "I think ... what's the best way I can put this ... this stuff is all a result of the cloud seeding".

Yeah, I know, makes less than zero sense. I was taken by surprise & my response was basically "Hah! Well, about that premium".  It's just amazing. Conroe gonna Conroe. Don't miss that place even a little bit.

And the response from the opposition needs to be "this administration is made of nothing but scum, who do nothing but lie to the good Americans who made the mistake of giving them power.  Imagine committing treason, risking the lives of our warfighters, and then trying to blame someone else for your betrayal of our country.  Scum and traitors, that's all these people are."

It’s like driving down the street, running into a light pole….then blaming the light pole.

It’s Wednesday and it’s already a non-issue for over half of the voting population that supported Trump.

That’s true. It’s not like that at all. It’s much, much worse.

It works bc Trump can always say it’s not classified a la his document case.

problem solved.

Ratcliffe has already audience tested this in his testimony, noting that SecDef had original classification authority for DoD. It’s an incredibly tendentious argument but of course it worked once before.

I’m surprised it took this long.

Democrats, if they ever return to office, need to get serious about some court-packing.

One thing, though, I believe it would be pretty difficult to "punish" a single judge, because the smallest "unit" Congress addresses is a judicial district.

So, they could punish the DC District Court, where Boasberg sits, but they'd also be punishing a number of Trumpy judges.

Plus, the side effects of further reducing the size and capability of the district courts would have severe ramifications for every day business in a system that is already underfunded, as we have discussed somewhat ad nauseam.

And, the federal district courts are pretty heavily relied upon by the oligarchs to protect their oligarchy.

Pete Hegseth: “That pole came out of nowhere. I had to swerve several times before I hit it.”

That's fine. Release the redacted info and we can determine whether it should have been classified or not.

This was for voter registration purposes, not voting at the polls.
