I just donated to Mike Levin. My district is competitive, and his GOP opponent swallows every drop of Trump's load.

If a phone bank needs someone to pick up a few sandwiches or make some coffee, I'll help.  But to send straight cash with no oversight...

No offense taken Imma. I just don't believe that anything will happen with this dude in office. Trump had to have a "get off the field" guy to keep him from giving orders to shoot protestors. He is deporting college kids that peacefully protest, and holding their Uni's hostage financially. Same dude was laughing about Musk firing protestors at Tesla. The only thing that will get through will be tearing the motherfucker up.

If every black man protested with an AR15 and sunglasses we would have gun reform.

Maybe. Or maybe we’d just have a bunch of dead black guys.

Our passports are going to be about as valuable as Russia’s have been the last 3 years. Can’t leave; must stay here and sew buttons on shirts.

They absolutely should. We are totally throwing away our global position and all the sycophants in the administration think the rest of the world is as gutless as they are.

Yeah I'm not sure what this even does. Protests need to be peaceful but completely disruptive to something to work. Everyone going out and being pissed off that things aren't going well isn't gonna do shit but make people feel like they did something.

These protests should happen any time doge tries to enter a building or when they try to close a park etc.

protest on Saturday in the loop mean absolutely nothing in Chicago

Flight crews are going to get harassed with body and bag searches. Can't wait.

@immamac

why do you still allow shitposting Republicans , like @Wulaw Horn, to steal @UTPhil2006 Mortgage business on the website? Phil had one of the longest running threads before the  crossover and nobody ever heard a public story about why that asshole Gabe got a sponsored thread. Why we get regulated to seeing this dickhead pat himself in the back with pictures of dumbass trophies and hope for economic calamity to make business good for himself bothers everyone.

I have a client that's an AA flight attendant, and she won't bid LHR any longer because the last few trips have been a beating for the crew.

Heathrow has always been that way, but when we start harassing Mexican crews, it's obvious going down south. Same treatment and justifiable.

My wife went to the Austin protest, and my daughter walked down to the capitol to join her. Someone gave her a bumper sticker, which she put on the back of her jacket that said something like: “Christians have waited 2,000 years for the Antichrist, and when he showed up they stood in line to buy bibles from him.”

I'll go cornball on this. I'm heartened by people taking action. I bet your wife and daughter are great people. I congratulate you on your part in this.

If we really want to make this visible, people need to be in South Florida impeding Trump's access to golf courses.   If he had to sit in the Beast  beacuse the roads were blocked with tens of thousands of protesters it would make the news and it would rattle him.   Then, do it when he's on the way to Air Force Once for the ride back to D.C.   Ring the White House perimeter with thousands and make him remember what the Lafayette Square protests looked like

I've thought for a while that citizens should have surrounded and blocked entry to the offices DOGE was targeting, led by Democratic congress persons. But instead, we got politicians showing up to ask questions, being told to leave by rent a cops, and leaving.

Someone had to hold down the fort.

But, thanks. We are proud of our daughters and I know how good I got it.

Went to the one in Frisco. Cop I talked to said he figured the crowd was 600+. It was spread along about a 1/4 mile stretch of Hwy 423 in a heavy trafficked area so lots of visibility.

Last estimate from Alt. National Park Service was in the neighborhood of 5 million nationwide. Don’t know how accurate that is but that would be in the vicinity of the third largest National protests in history.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_protests_and_demonstrations_in_the_United_States_by_size

Did it do any good? Dunno. Did it make me feel a little better? Yup.

Has anyone noticed how fucking stupid Donald Trump is?

Yes. Yes I have.

There are a bunch of Internet rumors that Scott Bessent is going to bail. If that happens, imo the U.S. is in serious, serious trouble. For all of Trumps idiocy, Bessent was a competent Treasury Secretary. He was the adult in a room full of mental midgets.

He's supposedly so sick of Trump already, he’s had it, just like Tillerson. Without competent financial leadership, this situation could get very very scary financially.

This tariff policy is the absolute worst possible action that could have been taken by our government, given the problems we currently face financially.

He is the worst type of asshole involved.  He lent his credibility to a bunch of loons, thought he could control the loons, and now wants to jump ship after being associated with the worst intentional financial-trade decisions in modern history.    That is his fucking legacy and the legacy he leaves for his children.

Correct - and he just simped for all of the policies on Meet the Press.  He’s not competent to be leading a McDonald’s.  Dude can’t even complete a fucking sentence.  God almighty - people need to quit saying that such and such is competent.  Heard the same about Rubio and he’s a clown too.

It's remarkable that a representative of a presidential administration explains policy by shouting over the questions of the interviewer. Well, it would have been remarkable ten years ago. Now, it's the norm when you have a "conservative" on TV. It makes me wonder if this was part of an overall strategy. Maybe it was taught in Newt Gingrich's seminars on how to lie to the press back in the day.

I can't turn on this shit. I hate the lack of discussion. I loath the strategy of just yelling and controlling the mic until the clock runs out. And it's all lies. I want to be this guy

but I can't reach through the TV. These fucks need to be cuffed around the room then tossed out into the street with no possessions other than their underwear.

Or dumped into the cold North Atlantic.

Well, except Bessent was doing jackshit to restrain Trump.  Either way, he's a lickspittle.

If he is having second thoughts, it's probably because he sees his post-administration stock trading career circling the drain.
