This story about the Onion buying InfoWars sounds like a story they'd write themselves.

I guess in a way, they actually did.

If I didn't know better, after watching this, I would have thought the LegalEagle guy was Brisket.  Holy shit - don't watch this before you go to bed because hearing all of this rattled off back-to-back will keep you up at night.  I had started to laugh about shit in the Cabinet thread, but the schadenfreude isn't going to be enough to keep me going if all this ends up coming to pass.

Yeah I’ll watch this in the morning, not right before bed

Burn down the mission
If we're gonna stay alive
Watch the black smoke fly to heaven
See the red flame light the sky.

Burn it down to stay alive
It's our only chance of living
Take all you need to live inside.

I am pessimistic, since Nov 5th. Most people who pay attention are pessimistic.

So, this post’s focus is on the positive. The opposition is still fact based, and the majority is not. Reality will have its say.

I don’t know which fool called the claim that turnip’s cabinet and staffers had predominantly cautioned against voting turnip, saying he was unfit for office, “fake news.” It could have been batshit @Balcones, it could have been the anti-Christian @Frank Drebin. Doesn’t matter, as both are going through life blindly, and neither will bother to learn what is true.

Might have been posted, but for the record, the claim is factual. I have cited apneas and pbs.

Wait, so there were actually idoits saying all those people didn't actually denounce Trump?

I have to say I feel a little uneasy laughing at this misguided, obviously emotionally disturbed woman, whether I like her politics or not. She's a few slices short of a loaf and needs professional help. But, I haven't been following her journey. I guess she could be a terrible person who deserves all of it. Wanna be internet famous? I guess this kind of thing comes with the territory.

The "meh" from those of us non MAGA types is through the roof this go around. I'm 100% in that camp after a Trump popular vote win, but I do think it'll be even more dangerous for our nation that nobody really has any fucks left to give.

Correct.

I keep seeing future elections, the press and "political fallout" as actual saviors from all this shit. Nope. Too many are too apathetic that even cancelling elections, or gaming them to return the results the GQP desires, is simply going to be a 2-3 day news story before the next Hawk Tuah distracts us.

Man this is so frustrating. I constantly find myself perplexed how people can be so miserable when they have so much....and I include myself in that. The days where I "realize" how great I have it and avoid the traps of misery tend to be the better ones.

All you have to do is turn on the TV, pick up your smartphone, watch something streaming on your computer and realize just how woeful your life is because you don't have the latest fast fashion item, or newest kitchen appliance gadget.  It all goes back to us being turned into a nation of consumers and not producers.  And if you aren't leading the edge on what's cool, your life just sucks.

I bet he's getting his military parade this time around.  It'll cost millions to repair the damages done to the streets of DC, but he won't pay them, just like he doesn't pay his security bills.

Performance art.  His whole intent was to say that word and draw that attention.  That anyone would get that worked up over a law that prevents carrying a weapon into the state capitol is fake.  Here's your 10 seconds of fame.  Now go away.

I'd be interested in what kinds of Trump-proofing conversations are going on in the White House right now. I mean, from a president with immunity. At what point does it become morally responsible to do.... something?

Or maybe they're in fuck it let's go bowling mode.

This is going to be HUGE over the next 4 years, and beyond. Dotard will use this to do whatever it takes to stay in office beyond this term. He is going to push every constitutional boundary using his immunity in ways that will be crazy. And with the current scotus, and anyone else he'll appoint, and there will be no checks. He will do anything he wants as an official act of his office, in the name of "national security" and have immunity to do it. Can he cancel elections in 2 years? You would think not, but as an official act, and with immunity, who the hell knows. I don't think we have a clue what's coming.
