It wasn’t too long ago, that the distinguished senator from Oklahoma, Senator Mullen, challenged a union leader to a fight on the senator floor. Decorum my ass.

I've said this before and I'll say it again.  Nancy Mace is my kryptonite.  (Maybe @Brisketexan's, too.)  Mid 40's, brunette, attractive, big tits, good job, good in the sack, etc.  I'd marry her in six months only to find out she's bat shit crazy.  She'd completely ruin my life.

I, for one, fully welcome Rep. Crockett's use of the vernacular. It was perfectly appropriate and spot on. But y'all are missing the most important action in that exchange ...

This is a declaration of war. Git it, girl.

I've began to wonder why vaccines have become a focus and why not chemo?

It's obvious to me that all the nausea and vomiting associated with chemo is just your body trying to expel the Bill Gates microchips they are planting in your body.  Ban all cancer treatment!!!

Weirdly enough, that second dewormer mentioned in the cast, not ivermectin, shows some ability to slow tumor growth in pancreatic cancer, in mice. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/newsroom/news-releases/2021/08/johns-hopkins-study-anti-parasitic-drug-slows-pancreatic-cancer-in-mice

Of course, the morons have gone off with this, like they did with ivermectin's apparent ability to kill covid in a petri dish.

Put some cancer in a petri dish and pour some Coke on top and watch it kill the cancer! Big pharma has been keeping the cure from us all along 😞

Where has being nice and following norms/decorum gotten the Democrats and the people they represent?

I don't want to straight up emulate Republicans obviously, but something has to change, and if part of that is Nancy Mace getting called a child when she acts like one, I'm okay with it

All of this.

No more of this "When they go low, we go high" business.  I appreciate the sentiment of that statement, but it has become emblematic of everything the Dems have done wrong in the last 15 or so years.

You can't win by being the nicer guy in politics any more than you can in spycraft, or the trenches of a football game.  You're gonna have to get dirty, hurt some people, and not apologize for it.

And it should really help when the other guys are an existential threat.  These people's heads should be on spikes around the Capitol as a warning to others by the time this shit is through.  I'm exaggerating, but not much.

It'll be a miracle if we survive this bullshit. It's going to be nonstop for four years. But hey, the price of eggs...or something.

its the death kneel. i was some ~ 15 years early honestly, I didn't read the room correctly in 2008. I thought for sure giving away trillions to the wealthiest bankers in the midst of a oligarchy at the federal level would do it, but alas there went another decade. Maybe we still aren't there yet, I dunno, but i see:

- the military basically for sale. You could argue thats always been the case, but more to the point now I feel. SA wants us to take out Iran, sounds good, how much? See Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Gaza, and pretty much anything that touches resources of any value anywhere. Bada bing bada boom

- the US dollar will be purposefully murdered as an i told ya so. Replaced with crypto, which is a whatever musk decides.

- all environmental regs up for sale. Drink up!

- Europe abandoned. Nothing wrong with making them pay more for the their own defense, but the pendulum will swing too far, mark my words. The right hates Europe. But their populists will show up more and more. Only problem with them is they eventually heat up too fast and bump into each other and instead of out grifting they draw guns.

- Healthcare. LMAO. hope whatever you end up getting is already front and center for some right wing personality, otherwise its nada. you gotta die of something

- Supreme Court? Your body? All for sale now.

The full on kleptocracy is here, only with more juice to squeeze out. Putin gonna want a piece too, speaking of that watch out for Russia/US against China. Its a coming, see point 1, and if ole boy is still alive he will have a surmountable debt to China to pay off but not alot of men or money to throw at the problem. Ta da! or Voila! whatever floats your boat I guess.

anyway, its been fun my fellow ledgers. Heading towards Friday with a smile, or a smirk, or a overarching pessimistic view of the future. Yeah thats it.

I’m sure the replacement will be great.

@Brisketexan I won’t be joining you on the ledge, but maybe a nice reef or something as far away from America as humanly possible. All of our allies need to turn their back on us and just completely cut us off from their world. The consequences of the decisions being made now by these spineless Christo-fascist cowards will be ones that reverberate for decades. This will not end well and at some point our military will be put in a spot to either intervene and stop these idiots from destroying the country or joining them. The only institution I have stood by is our military. I think we will all get to see if that is justified or not.

It probably was when you had guys like Milley at the top who understood that a civilian controlled military loyal to the Constitution and not a personality was key to our democracy.

The Fox News commentator is here to undo all that and replace anyone of consequence with Michael Flynn’s who won’t flinch at killing unarmed citizens who disagree with dear leader. We will be an oversized banana republic.

We'll find out this year. Trump has always wanted to deploy the military against his enemies. SCOTUS has given him the go ahead, there's no serious political incentives restraining him now, and he's not a patient man.

He literally deployed unmarked federal officers against protesters and fired rubber bullets to clear them away from a church. And he faced zero consequences for it.

We'd better be ready to bite the fucking pillow 'cause they're frothing at the mouth to go in dry

One of the consequences of going all in with globalism (not that there was much of a choice) is that you can't just put the toothpaste back in the tube. Systems, people and processes-- business, money, and governments-- are way too complex and enmeshed and entangled to simply do what you suggest.

I am aware of the impact globalist policies have on these situations. These are not normal times though and we are acting like a drunk superpower hellbent on driving all of our allies off the cliff with us. At some point self-preservation is going to come to the forefront for all of them. We cannot be allowed to go completely unchecked while we are being led by incompetent racist morons who have a view of the world that is incongruent with those of our allies. Decoupling hurts, but if the alternative is a complete crash you have to make tough choices. The kinds of choices world leaders often fail to make when they put money above their fellow countrymen and women.

These are thoughts similar to my own. I will be far enough away by the time that might come to pass. Millions will not though, which is just incredible to contemplate. My hope is we have enough people in there that will push back against this idiot and any potential Flynn types. If not get ready for a new military adventure at the doorstep of the large landmass in Southeast Asia. What a fun time that will be.

no. It is not just cali. Gotta read deeper.

There are some scary trends. Newsom is not the target, he is not the threat.

There is something off. I cannot place it. All I know is don't trust or focus on the evident.

There is something else. I have not seen it yet and that pisses me off.

hegseth was not picked to become confirmed. He is the Lamb. Who?

Is it hatred within the President elect? Or a goal? If the latter, what?

Time to make another Tea.

Yup. This. It’s the Hillary play. Just keep flooding the airwaves with slander, and you cloud the mind of voters about Newsome.

Newsom is pushing back every chance he's given to both Trump and Mike Johnson. He's not afraid to call shit out or be combative. This is the same guy who did a show with that dipshit Sean Hannity on Fox News and handed Hannity his ass. He's an early favorite to be the nominee if we get to have an actual election in 2028.

Not sure where else to put this and sports related but don't want to cloak room up the NIL thread.  But the idiotic DOE policy position on Title IX is the kind of dumb shit democrats constantly do that gets people like Trump elected.

Taking the position that post settlement funds that schools can pay athletes as NIL is actually "financial assistance" subject to Title IX is so mind numbingly idiotic it's hard to wrap my arms around.  Sure DOE, a fucking scholarship rower nobody has or will ever hear of (that is already a material revenue loss due to Title IX) should be paid "equal" to Collin Simmons and the like in fucking "NIL".  So fucking stupid and a massive unforced error at the end of the Biden Administration that would literally destroy athletic departments across the country if actually implemented and cost hundreds of female scholarships.

This is just the kind of unnecessary 'woke' shit with no basis in reality that liberals in govt positions push through that make headlines and constantly make it harder for D's than it should be as it relates to your average American that has a lick of common sense.
