I'm gonna sit back and enjoy watching all of them reap the whirlwind.  It will be one of the few things that brings me joy.  Pain is the only thing that will make them comprehend just what they have done.

If people here are mentally weak enough to get their feelings hurt that much by a small group of blue-haired people online we truly are fucked.

Republicans have poured billions into courting their vote for the last decade and Democrats have spent little to no money on them.

I think that's about it.

No, it's more than that. There is something deeply wrong. They are falling behind in attainment compared to women, rates of depression are through the roof, general failure to launch. It's an issue that's been lurking for quite some time.

It's more than that.  It's the media.  Hollywood.  Corporate and academic DEI departments and initiatives.  Whether you think it's overblown or not, that's how a lot of people feel.

I personally feel that the miscarriage care shit is way overblown and not caused by the abortion laws (after actually reading them and there exceptions for health of mother) but instead is caused by pretty clear medical malpractice.  But I am not going to convince pro choice women of that.

Is that really true?  Seems like women have more mental issues (and especially liberal women but that's another topic).

Very true. People love to feel like they’re victims of something, young males are no exception.

A lot of them are having a hard time finding their place in the world.  The good paying jobs are not good enough to payoff student debt, a mortgage, or start a family.  The job market is also incredibly dehumanizing.  You have to chain yourself to a shitty job just to get decent healthcare.  It not great when you wake up realizing you labor has been mostly to payoff banks instead of building wealth like the previous generations did by pulling up the bootstraps.  There’s a sad hopelessness that the American dream is forever out of reach for young men and it would take a strongman sent by god to correct course.  A decent education is also becoming increasingly unaffordable and possibly useless in the economy ahead.

This is actually spot fucking on.

One thing's for sure, trump policies will make all of these issues so much better for them.

To genuinely try to answer, without being in that age group anymore and not knowing exactly how their lives our being led in the modern world:

 - Economic/job anxiety: Career/financial expectations have risen over the years but met with a tightened job market which is causing a lot of anxiety

- I'd guess relationships with women have deteriorated rapidly. In the 80s/90s/00s, being around similarly aged women was common place. Connections were common. Now in the modern world of social media and an increase in public disconnection, those relationships are dwindling. And anger is setting in.

- These younger generations have been coddled and helicopter parented, which diminishes personal accountability.

I think the second two very much have a part

For us olds, imagine only having dating apps as a realistic possibility to date someone (post HS/college)

It isn't though? See a girl at a bar, talk to her. This isn't that complicated.

Are they participating in this rite of passage the way we used to in our 20s? I don't know.  I doubt it though. There are too many distractions/deterrents to being social now.

No, they aren't, that's what I'm saying. Why not is the question.

Crosspost from the election thread by @chainsaw, but this is the kind of thing that is baffling to me.

Quote

Here's the problem I see with Gen Alpha, Gen Z, and Millennial men: there's no way to change them. They are driven by entitlement. The have been force-fed propaganda about how they're failures unless they have trad wives and nuclear family to rule over. This has fundamentally changed who they are deep down and what their values are.

What 18 year old male wants those things? That seems face meltingly insane to me.

It's the media.  Hollywood. Really? What the fuck are you talking about? They're a prized demographic. Media includes talk radio. Are you suggesting that Rogan plus the conservative whine shows don't pander the demographic? You hear a lot of liberal intellectual woke-ism on sports programming? You think the glut of comic book movies look down on white males?

Without using the pick and choose method of anecdotal "argument," your case is idiotic.

DEI initiatives? Yes, there are weaklings who blame that for tossing a fly in their punchbowl of opportunity. Let's keep that shit all to our own snowy white asses.

Trying being men rather than entitled, pandered males scared of the queens and the blacks and those deadly families fleeing Nicaragua to gratefully take menial jobs here.

I'm an older white male, and I look down on the angry weaklings who wanted things to be easier for them than anyone else. I twice lost promotions due to affirmative action. I thought that my parent's generation fought WW2 as a sacrifice for their country, so me missing a promotion to involve women and minorities in the world that had been closed to them was a pretty easy sacrifice.

I knew I'd get other opportunities. I got to feel kind of good about being a citizen. The grievance-oriented will laugh, of course. I'll look down on that, too.

We're becoming transhuman and it's flipping a lot of traditional roles and values on their heads. If we even make it it's going to be a bumpy transition because it's happening too quickly.

I think that coupled with single males not having enough money to spend on women let alone have kids explains about 99% of it.

Also all of their genders and sexualities are weirdly and artificially (imo) fucked up. Which I'm fine with from a human rights perspective but I'm not sure it's healthy or optimal for a functioning society.

Well when I was going out all the time in my 20s, social media didn't exist. Texting/FaceTiming didn't exist. I couldn't see hot single ladies on my phone. I couldn't go online and play video games with friends all night (thank god). You wanna hang with friends and talk to girls? You had to go out somewhere.

There was nothing else to do BUT be social.  They are losing human connection, which we all desperately need to function well.

Another point that is brought up that stupifies me. What 18 year old dude wants to have fucking kids. It's like the single outcome you avoid at all costs.
