Well, if that were to have happened, it would have been before they took him in a sort of "full-disclosure" thing, if asked.  But I suspect absent reliance from current UW coaching, Sarkisian would not undermine a player trying to make a fresh start somewhere.

You're probably right that officially, Sark would not have undermined Cook, but it is interesting to imagine that the coaching community values their relationships with each other more than with many of the players, so perhaps there were some back-channel warnings. How else could Cook have had such a short leash of 48 hours?

Of course, coaches are very conceited and always think they are the one who can 'fix' a certain player.

Coaches public remarks aren’t what they are in private to colleagues or NFL scouts.

That was a running joke on the old site.

I remember the bit but didn't know where it came from. I thought it was in the same vein as mind-bottling.

DUMB QUESTIONS AMNESTY:
Who was that guy? What connection did he have with Antonio Brown? Same question for LeBron? Are their relationships analogous in some way to Johntay?

I don't follow much off-the-field or off-the-court stuff (on-the-court, too, for that matter), so apologies in advance for the questions.

Has anyone ever noticed that LeBron is reading the table of contents in every one of these pics?

This is his latest Instagram Stories post from 22 hours ago. It's actually a pretty normal post for Gen Z types.  Before, he was posting lots of, 'working out  w/ trainer' stories, which was smart, but now they seem less focused. I genuinely feel bad for him and I hope he turns his life around.

No doubt, but I think Sark's philosophy as a recovering person means he lets Cook do what he's gonna do, mostly without interference.  By the same token if UW coaches had asked, I'd imagine he'd be honest with them.

Hoping the best for this fellow human being.

Yeah, at this point he's a candidate for sympathy more than scorn.  He's not being a garden-variety asshole.

Kinda sorta, yeah.

Like I said earlier, it seems possible (not saying probable, but...) that the right rehab system could turn his life around. Maybe not, but it would be sweet to see.

I'm just really, really worried that if we have to play The University of Texas Permian Basin, Johntay is going to be really motivated and deliver something like a 13 receptions, 280 yards, 3 TD performance.

Hey, whoa… Time has by NO means made my unassisted triple play in fifth grade kickball any less spectacular or legendary.

This you?

Oh, KICKball.

Mine was also at second base and would be scored the exact same way- catch, touch bag for the force then run down the base runner for the tag-out. Just far, far lower stakes and the ball was much larger… and more kicked.

. . . and 5th grade baserunners, at least one of which had no idea of the rules and didn't even want to be out there.

The runner I ran down who was trying to get back to first ended up being an all-conference athlete in college.

For a heavy girl, she she could freakin’ move, man.

Reminds me of when my best friend got beat in a mixed cross country event by one of our girls.  We gave him loads of shit, even though he was sick at the time.

She ended up winning state in the 800m and cross country, was an All-American and 10-time all-state, and then won a conference title at Mizzou.  OK, so it's not so bad getting beat by her.

I turned an unassisted triple play from the shortstop position in second grade peewee ball, so close to home etc.  My career has been downhill since then.

I don’t know about UTPB, but I have my eye on the UTRGV football roster in case a Juante Cocina shows up on the team.
