Will Rogers on trickle-down economics:

"The money was all appropriated for the top in the hopes that it would trickle down to the needy. Mr. Hoover didn’t know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellow’s hands."

Looks like it's passing through Jontay's hands pretty damn quick.

Yeah - my comments about Cook being poor in one post and trickle down in another post was conflicting.  He was definitely trickling up :)

To further take this thread off topic, a friend of mine who did a lot of volunteer work with people across the wealth spectrum would say, "Poor people spend money; middle class people manage money; rich people invest money."

I keep seeing this thread pop up.

“What is this drug addled, malcontented criminal doing now?”

clicks thread …

”Oh, it’s just @TreatyOak stanning for this selfish loser and other idiotic shit around that. “

This guy took close to a million dollars from boosters at Texas, flushed it down the toilet, became a cancer in the locker room and then talked as much shit about Texas as he could on his way out the door, including attempting to poison the well with recruits and transfers he knew.

Fuck him. I am enjoying the premise that he remains unsigned with a new school. Someone will eventually bring him in, thinking they can fix him, and he’ll blow them up from the inside as well.

Redemption story? Right. GTFO.

While true, it's about necessity. You have the option to invest when the necessities are all comfortably covered.

The really pathetic thing is so many in this thread acting as if they know him or actually have insight into his problems.  People still think it was some kind of malcontent, attitude, playing time issue.

Human beings are complex.  There is a murky intersection of character, substance abuse, and mental health struggles.  Nobody here knows him well enough to pull apart those strands and analyze him in any kind of productive way.  I realize this is a message board and all, but if there ever were a thread that needs to wither away and die because there is absolutely nothing of value to be gained, it is this one.

I hadn’t clicked on this thread in months. I already stated why I clicked now. Your stan efforts replaced what I thought might be actual news. Your entire post here is thoughtless projection.

Upset cause I'm sharing updates about Johntay Cook...in the Johntay Cook updates thread.

Because I’m a complex human being I’m going to keep bumping this thread for years.

Johntay is posting workout stuff and his fashion style. The NCAA spring transfer portal cycle for the 2025 college football season will officially open on Wednesday, April 16 and remain open through Friday, April 25.

James Everett Jr is _routegod so guessing that is whom is training Johntay. While Everette didn't have a college career, his intense WR training techniques have made him a very popular private coach for players like Antonio Brown.

So he's used to mentally unstable clients?

And why are we looking at a pic of him pulling up his zipper?

He just finished up in the car with Treaty Oak.
