We hope this message finds you well. As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality products while managing rising costs, we have made the decision to implement a modest price increase. This adjustment is necessary to maintain the level of service and product quality you rely on.

Effective January 1, 2025, there will be a 6.5% increase across all Security products, including panels & keypads, sensors, radios & antennas, peripherals, Z-Wave automation, and accessories in our 2GIG, GoControl and Linear brands. Updated pricing will be sent to you via our standard communication channels.

We appreciate your understanding and continued partnership. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Best regards,

That’s from Nice North America, a lot of the products listed come from China. Waiting for Snap to hit us with the same.  They are our vendor for most of our wire, TV mounts, etc. again, mostly made in China. The AV industry is gonna have a bad time. I’m pretty sure Monoprice gets absolutely everything from China, so that sucks for the DIY AV guy too.

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — Faced with two choices she didn’t like, Suehaila Amen chose neither.

Instead, the longtime Democrat from the Arab American stronghold of Dearborn, Michigan, backed a third-party candidate for president, adding her voice to a remarkable turnaroundthat helped Donald Trump reclaim Michigan and the presidency.

In Dearborn, where nearly half of the 110,000 residents are of Arab descent, Vice President Kamala Harris received over 2,500 fewer votes than Trump, who became the first Republican presidential candidate since former President George W. Bush in 2000 to win the city. Harris also lost neighboring Dearborn Heights to Trump, who in his previous term as president banned travel from several mostly-Muslim countries.

Oh, I recognize it.  The gloves are off for Palestinians everywhere.  This is the war of extermination that all the Israel fans have wanted, and now Israel has complete license to engage in it.

Excellent electoral strategy, pro-Gaza voters.  Well-done, perfectly executed.

@BrickHorn Are you ok? I’m not sure where you’re coming from on this. I’m personally sickened by just about everything right now. Single-issue voters in Dearborn, etc. didn’t do this by themselves, but it fits the thread. I fear there will be nothing stopping the accelerating genocide in the ME. I’m not sure whether you disagree or think I’m cheering it on.

Oh, I'm cheering it on.  See, when arsonists get burned, that's the essence of this thread.

I'm sick and fucking tired of telling various factions of arsonists "DON'T LIGHT THAT FIRE!" only to watch them defiantly toss gasoline everywhere and light a match.....and promptly get fucking consumed by the fire they helped stoke/start.  Fuck 'em.  I am DONE having sympathy for groups that bring the worst on themselves.

0% sympathy.

100% schadenfreude.

That is the correct ratio now.

Brick, why you mad?  This is 100% what "team Palestine" in this country wanted.  They cried out for it, they said they were going to do it, and they followed through and did it.  Reaping the EXACT consequence that we all said would follow.  Why should we care at all when people get EXACTLY what they asked for?

Yes, fuck that guy. Sorry, though, I can’t cheer genocide. Those victims didn’t do this particular bit of fucking around. You’re missing the bit about other people paying the price for some of our dumb voters.

I get your rage, man, but get some focus. If it comes to real resistance you won’t be useful as a berserker.

Gaze upon the Reaganist bullshit we let infiltrate the Democratic Party, folks. Muslim Americans on the margins aren’t the problem. We lost because we catered to the @Brisketexans of the world.

They may have changed the color of their ties and started voting for Dems, but they remain the same soulless sociopaths they were back when they were jerking off to the Laffer Curve and singing along to Tony Keith during Desert Storm.

America deserves better from its liberal party than childish pricks cheering on the slaughter of innocent women and children.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll also be cheering on the deportation of my family members who voted for Trump.  Dumbasses think "we're okay, we're some of the good ones."  Nope.  Leopards gonna eat their faces too.  And the country white trash in our family, who will see their lives get even more miserable as support and infrastructure decline, and costs go up.  I'll cheer for that, too.

Oh, and to be clear.....precisely nobody "catered to Brisketexan."  Not a single word of caution or alarm I've uttered has mattered at all.  None of the money, none of the effort.  Any private good we've done?  It will be torn down in an executive order or two.  Nobody has catered to anything I've wanted at all.

We've decided to burn it all down.  The whole fucking thing.  Across the globe.  The only rational response is to warm your hands by the fire and watch the flames dance.  This is what we've chosen.  Quit fighting against it, and just watch it burn.

Accuweather.  Read up on it.  It's 100% a move to privatize the function....to someone who has ingratiated themselves with MAGA.

But no worries, the next forecast of "Your climate is fine, 105 degrees on Xmas day is both delightful and biblical, brought to you by Accuweather and Exxon" is going to have BITCHIN' graphics.

Is it possible that part of the reason Trump won is because a lot of the folks who voted for him realized they made it through his first term and the world didn't end like some on the left said it would?

Sure.  It's probably a large part of it.  See, the world only ended for some folks.  Quite a few of the COVID dead.  Women who have died because they couldn't get life-saving care.  And, you know, there was an actual violent insurrection that attempted to overthrow the government.  But, hey, it failed, so it might as well have never happened.

The castle doesn't fall from its perfect state into a pile of rubble.  It happens stone by stone....until it reaches the point where it can no longer stand, and then the collapse can't be stopped.

By all means, let's keep removing stones.  What could go wrong?

Whatever the case, we've chosen our path.  Pull up a chair.  The fire is just starting to warm up.

No one thought first term trump was going to be anything but something way different or a disaster that got saved by the guardrails.

Everyone was right. It was saved by the guardrails, now there are significantly less guardrails and he's been emboldened by the inaction and lack of consequences from January 6.

The best case scenario is again, something way different and a complete shakeup of the status quo (what many people think they voted for). The worse case scenario is one that is a bit hard to say where the bottom is with all the erosion of decorum and trumps deep and public disregard for the law.

My black-hearted liberal response:
Point and laugh at the Dearborn caucus and stupid students who were told they were being counterproductive but still empathize with those suffering abroad. Still, sorry, Palestinians, I've got shit closer to home to deal with now.

Yeah, I still don't know what they wanted from Harris.  Foreign affairs are never going to be at the top of an American candidates' list.  They just aren't.  So they voted for the leopards.

But that time is gone, and they're both now equally impotent.  The hand-wringer's hand-wringing over the finger-tenter's sinister grimace is a bit stupid.  As is the finger-tenter's supposed glee, I suppose.  I imagine they're both coping mechanisms.  I suspect neither will be terribly effective in the medium- or long-term.

Oh, you're forgetting the third option.  The important one, which we should probably engage in: how to profit from the suffering.  We've chosen to make "bring suffering to others" a leading global commodity again - nothing we can do to stop it, nothing we can do to even slow it down.  Well, there's always money to be made in commodities.

Or didn't vote at all. I'd felt a bit of relief when some of the Palestinian groups finally endorsed Kamala, but it was far too late. Minds were settled on getting the defeat they helped to ensure.

I will say that John Oliver was right last night by pointing out that something like 90% of all counties shifted to the right, as did almost every single demographic group. So, it's kind of bullshit to pick out one population, as there's plenty of blame to go around against ALL GROUPS voting against their own interests. The Palestinian protesters just happened to have been the most vocal, and since they're already somewhat marginalized by moderates/centrists, they'll get picked out for most of the ire.

Since when is “effective” the goal? You do what’s right because it’s right. Brisket is acting like a puerile psychopath. We should hold ourselves to a higher moral standard than gleefully cheering on genocide because a few voters made a bad choice. Especially when the victims literally had no part in the voting at all.

I mean, for fuck’s sake. Stand back and think for a fucking second about the position Brisket and the other butthurt buffoons are advocating here. It’s monstrous. They’re not merely hoping the Michigan voters get deported or hassled or suffer some other comeuppance at the hands of the fascists they helped gain power. They’re literally cheering on the mass murder of innocent human beings half a world away.

If you don’t find that way over the red fucking line of morality, then something inside of you has broken and you need to look in the mirror.

Edit: Not you, specifically. The editorial “you.”
