You missed the other alternative.  Repeal the 13th amendment. It is a communist restraint on commerce.

Or have Gaetz lock up people and use the penal exemption from the 13th, voila

A snapshot of American greatness right there.

Shit, at this point, I'm looking at getting into the textile biz, figure it'll be taking off soon.  I hear the name "Triangle Shirtwaist Company" is available.

Do we think children have hands small enough to sew knobs into TC Tuggers shirts?

4) Fill jobs with uneducated 10 year olds for $8 per hour.

We're not helping these children if we throw excessive money at them. $5/day is more than sufficient if you provide them with barracks, meals, and clothing from the company store.

I thank ye kindly but I move around too much in my bidness to settle down in one spot. My bidness? Tallow candles and fire insurance. This old warehouse, dry as a tinderbox. Reckon you're caught up on fire insurance?

My Swedish immigrant grandmother and her mom and siblings. The dude in the middle has one hand covering up his other hand. That’s because sometime after the turn of the century (19th) he had his hand mangled in an industrial accident working in a factory as a 10-year-old.  You will notice there is no papa in the picture, because he died 5 years after he moved the family here from Stockholm.   The entire family had to work to make ends meet.  My grandmother and her sister both eventually caught two college educated American boys as hubs, so the family’s financial situation became much improved.

Which is all to say, working your minor kids in dangerous factories is practically - as Hank Junior said - an American family tradition.

"They lived in BrisketCanecutter houses, their babies were delivered by BrisketCanecutter doctors, their children educated in BrisketCanecutter schools, they bought at BrisketCanecutter stores, borrowed books from BrisketCanecutter library, married in the BrisketCanecutter church, and were buried in the BrisketCanecutter cemetery."

Sounds like BrisketCanecutter is just making america great again.

Also, borrowed books from BrisketCanecutter library? Sounds like socialism. That’s a nope.

Dude.  You do not long game.

1) Destroy public education.

2) Remove child labor laws (see Arkansas as a leader of the pack).

3) Deport brown people who work at chicken plants for $11 per hour.

4) Fill jobs with uneducated 10 year olds for $8 per hour.

5) PROFIT.

You Make America Great Again by getting kids out of those evil librul schools, and putting them to work in the factories and the fields, like the good lord intended.  And if the struggling American family needs more money, well.....have more kids!  All those wage-earners under one roof, why, that's how you really make it in the world.  If it worked for our great grandparents, it'll work for us!  And by the way, have a few more kids than you thought you needed, because....we're bringing deadly childhood diseases back, baby!

And poof!  America is great again!  Like the 1900s!

I have mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, fuck ‘em. On the other hand, education is the only way out of fascism. Further eroding the quality of rural schools will only expand the ignorant mob. And it’s not like these dipshits will ever understand the consequences. Replacing secular curricula with religion, pseudoscience, and ahistorical, performative patriotism is exactly what they want. They’ll be blissfully ignorant.

Theres not much schadenfreude to be had from a bunch of idiots enjoying the fuck out of becoming even worse citizens.

It's not like the red states can get any stupider than they already are.
