I have an example of a special rule I used yesterday.  I have some rental properties and I have a tenant that had trouble keeping current on her rent for a while.  When I was considering whether to evict her at the end of this month, she went on a tirade about how it’s Biden’s fault she can’t pay her rent because he spent all the money that’s rightfully hers on supporting “illegals and gays.”  She then said she voted for Trump because somehow he’s going to fix all of her problems.  That tipped the scales for my decision, she’s now got 3 days until she’s out on her ass.  In the past, my conscience would not have allowed me to be this harsh, but I’ve had it with these morons.  Different rules in my world now…..I’ll just call it the dumbass tax.

I’ll add - it’s a good thing this property is in a “red” state where the laws allow me to be such an asshole landlord.  If this property was in California, she would have a lot more protection under the law to stay in place.

Whereas my property manager just told me this morning that my tenant would be late with rent this month because financial struggles and I said no problem without asking about their political beliefs.  Even though, based on where the property is (rural Georgia), there's a 99.9% chance he supports Trump.  I apply my rules equally to all.

In my mind, I'm being understanding, but apparently, I'm the bad guy.

Anyway, didn't come to post about that... came to ask if Trump really got rid of the Civil Rights Act or am I misreading this...

r/BlackPeopleTwitter - So apparently, The Equal Employment Act of 1965 has been revoked by Trump...

I wonder if all this (Trump 2.0 and everything that has transpired the last, let's say, 100 days) could have been avoided if we as a country took a less hardline approach to the vaccinations back in 2021. Hindsight being 20/20 and all, I do wonder if the outcomes would have been materially or statistically significantly different if the NEVER-VAXERS and Vax-Anxious didn't feel "forced" to take it. I think most people who had even small reservations were like me in that they still got or would get the jab.

Hi Luka. You still live on the second floor?

Not just the sale, but the wearing.  Wearing a mask will be a defiance of MAGA, and you will be placed in a deportation camp for processing.  I exaggerate only slightly.  Seriously, there WILL be rules/laws AGAINST wearing an N95 mask, I guarantee it.

Because freedom

Trump nominee and Project 2025 architect Russell Vought believes that "mandatory programs" like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are "a benefit hammock..keeping people out of the workforce."

The cruelty is the point with MAGA.

Didn't you read the tweet? THEY WERE MOVING FROM FT. WORTH TO WACO.

How can anything make up for the pain of not living in Waco?

The nice thing is that she was supposed to start in two weeks, so they probably have already bought the home in Waco and have to move there, anyway. At least it's nice if you are like me and want to see these people as fucked over as possible.

i'm sure there won't be a dominoes effect here. stupid libs, thoughts and prayers are free !! no reason to waste $47 billion!!! ...

Apparently all NIH Study Sections have been suspended indefinitely.

For those who don’t know, this means there won’t be any review of grants submitted to NIH

Depending on how long this goes on for, this could lead to an interruption in billions in research funding.

With a budget of ~$47.4B, the NIH is by far the biggest supporter of biomedical research worldwide.

Grants are reviewed periodically by committees of experts outside of the NIH.

When these study sections are cancelled, it prevents grants from being reviewed & funded.

Most of those grants would go to educational institutions.

Education is for commie libtards.

I initially thought that we could all just mask up for the next pandemic and be cool which Magatards died off but then I realized that banning the public sale of N95 masks is probably on the agenda.

Well, sure.  But the sale of Trump branded "freedom masks" will be acceptable.

Soros made him do it.  And the mexicans.  All those dirty mexicans.  Especially the trans mexicans.  Everything would be unicorns and rainbows if it wasn't for Soros and mexicans and the trans.

Medicare? Sounds like GOP may be warming up to death panels in order to expel the elderly scourge.

O, whither Sarah Palin.

Anyone who doesn't get vaccinated is an outright idiot.

Unless immunocompromised of course.

My wife found some local thread where wackadoodle moms connect to find DRs that don't require immunization of any kind and discuss skirting public school requirements.  Marble Falls is apparently the spot .

Yay!

I didn’t ask about her political beliefs, she threw them at me and I decided to be a dickhead because the Republican laws encourage me to.  Fuck the people I was trying to protect with my vote that didn’t want to help themselves.

Amid all of the chaos surrounding TFG’s first two days don’t lose sight of the actual shit that he is doing.

Suspended refugee immigration for those already approved and on flights to the US.

Impounding congressional appropriated funds for “green energy” (but actually everything)

EO’s purporting to overturn the 14th amendment.

etc. etc.

Keep your eye on the ball. Project 2025 is in full force.
